Why? cus it's pointing out how wrong all the people the people are they say Xbox has no games? Well people are clearly playing something if it's moving 500k of software a month.
microsoft can't do it alone they need developers to really utilize all the systems advantages and extra powers to really wow gamers. They need the third party devs and relationsships they had during the 360 era. when tittles like mass effect and bioshock were realeased 6months or a year before. and they when tittles like red dead redemption orange box and bayonetta all looked and performed better on 360 than ps3
And your comment is a clear indicator of how much you don't know about comment sections.
and my personal fav game of the gen so far. ORI AND THE BLIND FOREST
Should this be news or filled under rumor? How can xbox have sold 500 000 pieces of software if they have no exclusives? Can someone confirm xbox has games or no?
i mean everything has potential..
but look at the reaction around here. honestly it seemed like people were more excited/interested for a mid-gen upgrade of existing hardware (scorpio) than a brand new console from nintendo..
i wonder what that says about the state of nintendo in the mind share of gamers right now.
The goal of Scorpio is NOT JUST to have the most powerful console. BUT ALSO to court developers back.
They succeed with the first parts it's the most powerful, sure. But to court developers they need install base. I hope they will sell Scorpio at a lost to help in this regard. Selling at a lost will boost scorpios sales and add to the already decent Xbox one install base.
interesting article. to me it shows that both sony and Microsoft are in this business to stay. and are dedicated to it.
in the ps3 generation, sony had lost out and developers prefered x360. sony used their resources and played to their strengths to weather the storm. they survived by utilizing all their first party power and with great games like uncharted, infamous, last of us were able to chug along until next gen with In 2005, Microsoft launched Xbox 360: a piece of ...
@kingcorey
Oh, i see.
"In 2005, Microsoft launched Xbox 360: a piece of hardware at least a year ahead of its time from a technological standpoint, introducing multi-core CPU processing and state-of-the-art advanced graphics technology. PlayStation 3 arrived a year later - an absolute age in technological terms - but the Xbox 360 still shone through. It was the product of a company determined to do everything it could to create the most powerful games console ever made. After the media missteps of Xbox One an...
if this is the hate just for the technical reveal imagine the hate that' sgonna be in future head to heads lol
from eurogamer:
"The machine is beautifully engineered, right down to the state-of-the-art vapour cooling system that will keep that monster graphics processor cool. It's a far cry from Xbox One, Kinect and TVTVTV. It reminds us of the original Xbox and Xbox 360 - this is Microsoft throwing its considerable engineering resources at making the best possible games-playing machine. Xbox is back."
direct x 12 right in the hardware ... interesting.
seafort, are you really not impressed with this or just a troll trying to downplay scorpio?
cus where u see a 4k uhd player for rich niche market with 4k tv, i see an awesome video game system i want! and i'm neither rich nor have a 4k tv.
did you watch the video and if u did were you distracted? you missed the parts that excited me, even owning a 1080P tv.
my xbox 360 games look, load and play better...
my xbox one games ...
haha right conveniently forgetting things to make a point. i also don't recall the the original xbox having every major 3rd party game like tomb raider, resident evil, gta etc....
what were you expecting 8k 120fps ?
I faced a similar decision last December and decided to go with Xbox. So I was betting on Scorpio. And glad it looks good so far. The main reason for me was I liked Microsoft's philosophy of keeping your game library backward and forward compatibility. The whole end of generation thing.
But the main thing was that at the time. PS4 didn't have external drive support. (I think it does now) so I figured I got most games for Xbox that way when I get Scorpio it's as...
And as a buffer in older games that done use all the ram to speed up loading. And eliminate things like pop in or blurry texture. Pretty amazing stuff
Damn. Now that's a screen shot. And only 66% cpu utilization. Impressive. And that's a port too!
Just imagine how forza 7 will look built ground up for new specs. Racing fans will be in for a real treat. And it just in looks. One of the things that I hated playing GT was the long load times between races. Well forza has always been better at loading. But now with the advantages Scorpio has for loading. Gamers will have the best lookin racer and probably super quick ...
That's true. And I agree with you. But even more broadly. The reveal of just the specs seemed to create a bigger buzz at other sites ign YouTube and obviously eurogamer.
I guess your right tho. But for me personally my excitement level for switch is super low right now.
