When Sony said "we believe in generations" it was defend their anti consumer stance...PlayStation argued "cross-gen games risk stifling innovation". This was just their attempt at justifying and selling their fans their anti consumer model of not releasing their games on PS4. They needed to say this so they wouldn't look bad compared to xbox who are being more consumer friendly. Sony initially wanted these god of war and HFW to be big system sel...

Wow that’s a stretch. It’s funny how you stretched the PS5 list by listing a PS5 demo that’s not available on PS4 lol nice one…I guess it wouldn’t be a PS5 demo if it was in PS4. Are you a ps5 only gamer? There are a lot of games that came out on series x only and not Xbox one consoles (not that it matters) but just pointing out you’re wrong with your list that say “none”.
I own both consoles so have knowledge of games on both.

In the flip side of you. Would never purchase this game. But as it was on Gamepass, i set it to download, made dinner, and by the time I finished eating it was ready to play. It ended up being one of my favourite gaming experiences of the year too, like John. It wasn’t a game I was interested in and I’d never played the first and the art style put me off. But having it easily available to me digitally in Gamepass made me give it a try. Very glad I did.
Nice to see more Sony fans appreciating this. I remember when Xbox first said they would not leave behind Xbox one series owners with next instalments of big games like forza horizon 5 and halo infinite; they were heavily criticized by Sony fans. Sony fans swallowed up the PR talk about song “believes in generations” and defended Sony saying they are deliver true next gen games unlike Xbox.
Oh well, glad many seemed to have wisened up now. Hopefully sony can follow more Xbox trends...

The fact is, we all know that if VRR was available on PS5, and not xbox there would be comments with 99 upvotes saying how great this game is with VRR.
The funny thing is that on n4g you see comments with people complaining about VRR lol.
The truth of the matter is, as everyone knows n4g is predominantly full of Sony fanboys and it’s has become a huge echo chamber.

Performance looks good on both series x and ps5 with series x having a slight FPS boost with ray tracing. Regardless I’ll be purchasing this on Xbox instead of PlayStation for a few reasons:
1. Forward/Backward compatibility. Just look at what Xbox is doing with backward compatibility now.
Example 1: Take a game like Dishonored definitive edition. If you purchased it on PS4 and put it in your PS5 now it’s the same 30fps game. If you purchased it on Xbo...
I am going to beg to differ. I’m going to say PlayStation five and Xbox series X have some wild ideas and their design. The PlayStation five design is pretty unique and on the Xbox series X side we’ve never had a console designed like a tower before. As well bringing the SSD on the PS five is a wild idea to sort of eliminate load times bringing things back to cartridge gaming. However I actually think the Xbox has more wild ideas and their design a 56 cu gpu It’s pretty crazy in the console s...
Because it isn’t a first party game. It’s on PlayStation. But the next game that awesome studio makes will be a Xbox exclusive and it won’t feel weird.
man i really like that media controller. i wish the ps5 could be really good as a media device too and hopefully replace my apple tv. if the interface is fast and slick and good video quality for youtube and netflix for example that will be great.
playstation is market leader. they can afford to wait. the longer it drags out and even if release dates get pushed back it benefits sony. there system is selling great as is the software on it. microsoft is playing a game of chicken with themselfs. they badly want the xbox one generation to be behind them and they can focus on series x, game pass and the future. sony has no reason to rush. they are glad to let it drag out. whenever ms makes their move, as market leader sony can assess t...
If you haven’t played A plague Tale: Innocences, you need to! Such an amazing game. I played it earlier this year on gamepass and it’s was an awesome experience!

Digital foundry did a analysis. Series x and ps5 are locked 60fps in performance mode and series x is about 10% better performance in ray tracing

Nice. This will be epic. After Spider-Man insomniac is right up there with naughty dog for me. Spider-Man was my game of the generation.

Sweet. Can’t wait to replay for the graphical splendour.
I watched the unreal engine live stream on twitch. It’s amazing their looking into 120fps multiplayer for gears 5.
