so i recently picked up donkey kong country returns for wii and i'm playing it on the wii u. i love it, its a very fun and challenge game. i'd recommend it to anyone who wants a great platformer to play.
i played the demo rayman orgins on ps3 and for legends on wii u. and it wasn't a game i planned on getting.
But for what it’s worth, it can be had new for around 29.99 and I find the platforming way better than rayman.

Its funny people say specs don't determine if a console is next gen, yet they use specs to attempt and prove the point. if specs don't matter why are you quoting it's 2 gigs of rams or 32 megs of edram etc...
forget specs and whats on paper. where are the games that differentiate it from the previous gen? thats the underlying point. since wii u is getting 360/ps3 ports, thats counter intuitive.

Well thats a broken analogy. Journey is not to ps4 what rayman is to wii u.
For example, people are not saying that the ps4 has nothing to play and the ps4 is not worth a purchase now. and no one is pointing to journey on ps4 as one of the few exclusive games that have hype/buzz around it
however, people are saying that the wii u has nothing to play and the wii u is not worth a purchase now. and people are(CORRECTION : WERE) pointing to Rayman legends on ...

well people on here have been carrying on like the nintendo direct showed footage of game that were clearly next gen. i think the article did not want to start a flame bate and say that the wii u games don't look as good as ps3 360 games. cus then you would all accuse him of a flamebait article.

nintendo would be wise to buy them and make them first party. imagine if all platinum games going forward are exclusive to nintendo, from a business standpoint that would help them out.

there was so much wrong with that article, and so many fallacies in this comment section i wouldn't know where to start address them. it's too daunting a task.
the best i can say is: People play the games you enjoy and have fun. if you like nintendo games play them, if you find them stale and boring don't.
yes, it would be good for the employees to work together.
but just for fun it's even cool to think about if they got the ip and made a cross over game with the characters from both games in a god of war style. imagine kratos brutalizing them lol

exact same situation here. got stuck at one part late in the game and never returned to finish it out. i still have that actual gamecube disc and controller that i can plug into my actual wii....but i have no gamecube memory card.
i hope it's priced at a lower amount.
i think you're wrong. nintendo direct, while i do enjoy the news of new games and features, it very much is PR i believe.
this point was driven home in not the most recent nintendo direct, but the one prior. where pokemon x and y were revealed. i remember there was a part where they said something like, "breathtaking stunning 3d worlds" and i thought to myself nothing about what i was seeing was breathtaking, in fact it was far from it. but that was for m...
for me personally, its that i'm getting older. days are numbered. there are many books i want to read and expand my mind that take up some would be gaming time. and just going out and being more social. but overall i still find lots of time to play games.
