I worry about Titan Fall. It's going to be great on PC I imagine, but I think the 360 version will be more popular than the One version, with the One's multiplayer party problems etc. I suppose MS won't care if it is but still, maybe they should stop building on top of it's potential incase it doesn't meet it.

@KingME Xbox One was the fastest selling on average because it had less days on the market, had it had more it wouldn't have been. Sony sold over 1 million consoles in 24 hours but then stock ran out almost completely, as the NPD report shows, the PS4 has sold between 100,000 and 600,000 units in the US (more than 1 million less than 1.6 million) due to stock constraints. Whereas the Xbox One sold less of it's initial stock (as proved by stores still having them, and Best Buy saying t...

Since there was never any PC version the chances of Naughty Dog devoting time to rewriting the game to work on PS4 were always slim to none. PS3 was so awkward to get right, I don't think many PS3 only retail games will get the next gen treatment.
Tomb Raider was on PC, plus it's next genification was helped along by United Front Games, I'm not sure ND would let their IP into other hands anyway.

@dcj0524 Ah my bad, I knew it was one somewhere in my head and forgot haha, but still, probably not enough processing power available on console to track everything, distort the output, keep Vsync and a constant framerate, AND run the game in a way that's anywhere near pretty.

I'm almost certain that Oculus system requirements have already surpassed the new consoles, probably even before they came out.
The retail Oculus is going to be Full HD and they even have a 4k version in development, that's 2x1080p displays and PS4 can only do 1x900-1080p and Xbox One can only do 1x720-1080p I just don't think it's likely that consoles can support Oculus well. Oculus Rift is going to be for PC's with gpu's that cost what a console costs I recko...

Resolution > Framerate surely on this game. I don't get the sudden demands for 60FPS on every game, Call of Duty yes, Forza/ Gran Turismo yes, because they require precision but this I'd rather have a good stable framerate of 30FPS and full HD resolution with maybe a bit of spare power for when stuff get's interesting on screen, than push it for 1080p/60FPS and then have it slow down constantly or even miss it's target and get low res'd to 900p or 720p.

Assuming it stays on schedule and talks go on further it'll be out on PlayStation platforms quite a bit before Microsoft ones, which, if I remember correctly goes against MS own recently announced parity rules (to be sold on an Xbox platform, games have to come out on all platforms at the same time, or Xbox first I imagine) so surely that makes it unlikely even if Oddworld want to port it to Xbox, and it's not entirely clear that they do.

This is on Reddit, it's not a decal as such - it's 3M brushed steel vinyl sticker stuff, comes in a roll. It was custom cut so it looks a bit better than usual (PS4 cut out nicely etc and no gaps between faces) but it's still a sticker.

Personally I'd have kept the HDD bay shiny part black, that'd look great.

COD won't change any time soon if ever, it's a similar scenario to FIFA. From about 2001 to 2008 all Fifa did was change the rosters and add a new gimmick for every new game, then around 2008 something happened, a developer crisis of conscience perhaps, and they decided to evolve instead of iterate and they made a new engine and it's actually a pretty good game now.
COD stinks of that, people bought FIFA year after year too despite it's lack of anything new or worthwh...

@Dlacy13g True, the licenses to Unity is a good deal for small devs, and free devkits can only be a good thing but with the PS4 being easier to port games to from PC/Steam (primary indie development platform) are devkits for PS4 as necessary? There are far fewer intricacies when developing for PS4 from what I've gleamed reading dev interviews so maybe Sony can loan devkits out, but most of the work can be done on a PC? Whereas to develop for Xbox you need access to a devkit at all times? ...

I've noticed EU and NA have different AAA games but over a few months they usually rotate so that we mostly end up with the same stuff eventually. Sometimes EU will have it before, sometimes NA will get something amazing and we'll have to wait.

I paid 750 dollars for a picture of 25 million dollars.

They don't even need fixing. I've played my PS4 every day for multiple hours ever since I bought it and I keep looking at the sticks for little bits of rubber and there's nothing. I don't know what these people are doing, either they have sandpaper for skin or they hold a controller completely wrong and play with their finger nails.

This is a complete non-problem cooked up by the internet because one or two people are morons with abrasive fingers.

Sounds like an interesting story but will they be able to do it justice? This video shows all of about 6 seconds of actual gameplay too and all the rest is from the reveal trailer, which is disappointing. I don't think it looks as good as other games though, bit shiny. Ryse looks more real on the One, and so does the Order 1886 on PS4.

Called it. This had fake stink all over it, as much as I want Fallout 4, believe me I do, no major games company would register a site with GoDaddy for a start.

I agree that Bethesda should have smacked this down sooner though, but can you blame them - why wouldn't they want the publicity, especially if they actually are working on a new Fallout game.

This guy is an absolute idiot. It said photo in the description, why risk it. He could have just got one from a shop if he'd been a little patient (maybe straight away if he went to Argos - they still have them near me), yeah it wouldn't have been a day one edition but is a meaningless achievement and a bit of writing on the controller really worth the premium?

It's cheap, and the wire is hilariously thin but it works absolutely fine. The microphone is surprisingly clear on voice chat and for the voice commands it's never failed me. The shape of the earphone is awful though and pretty much falls out if you move at all, wink wrong and it's gone haha

Bundled headset though, it does it's job what else matters

I didn't pre-order, my brother pre-ordered in June. I got mine from a shop at 7am on release day, hours before he got his.

Shouldn't have pre-ordered necessarily, should have got up early ;)

Yeah, I got mine from Sainsburys this morning. 7am, just queued - redeemed my nectar points, got a can of Monster and got the bus home. Best console buying experience I've ever had.

People in the UK can buy online from all over the place. Amazon, GAME, Shopto, Argos, Very, Littlewoods, Sainsburys, Asda, Play.com, Tesco to name a few. And then there's all the people who just go and queue, it's what us Brits do best haha

I fully expect Europe's figures to match the North America ones regardless of what Amazon says.
