That's news to me. Blu-ray has a huge lead all over the world. HD DVD is taking its last breath. Good try though HD DVD. Nice fire sale you guys are having. Even more reason to stay away though. Why end up with an orphaned player? It will only play DVDs in the future and those are dirt cheap now.
That's one of the dumbest things I've ever read. Coocoo. The guy has no clue. Divx support isn't about Blu-ray vs HD DVD. It's about giving PS3 owners more choices on watching video.
So everyone hyped this game up for over a year to be this big game and it isn't yet now we're supposed to forget all that and pretend it is just a decent platformer? This is why I ignore the hype from the gaming press now. They always do this. They write about how great a game is and all the great features. Then the game comes out and is nothing close. I won't be spending my money on this game. Too many great games coming out that I do want.
If a forum moderator says no PS3 version of Bioshock it must be true. Not. Since when does something from a forum mod mean anything? Is it the president of the company or something? I don't know if this game will come out for the PS3 or not but I don't get my news from mods.
If only Ubisoft was smart and kept this game a PS3 exclusive they could have used all the power of the PS3 and made the best game. Instead they watered it down to make it work on the Xbox 1.5. What a shame.
There are games I know I want and I'll buy. Then there are games I don't want at all. As for Asassin's Creed, I wanted it at first but saw really dumb AI in a demo so I changed to maybe. Now I'll wait for what gamers say. The reviews so far are just too different to believe any of them.
The best reason is until recently there haven't been many PS3 games worth buying. I'd say that's the best reason actually. If you're paying $60 for games are you really going to waste it on crap? I think not. But that problem is over now. There are now more PS3 games than I am going to buy through Christmas. But I'll catch up on those other games over the winter.
The PS3 is selling like gangbusters. Struggle? I think not. And with the great games coming out now sales will only grow. PS3 is on a roll now. Microsoft and Nintendo, watch out. Your days are numbered.
So will you say the same thing about any other last gen game with a new game? Most old games look bad a couple years later when comparing them to new games. That's just how things go. It doesn't mean the new game will suck. If you want it for $25 though you can always wait a year after release and it should be down around that price.
Go ahead and dream about a 360 version. It could come out but a port of the PS3 version will look nothing like the PS3 version. The PS3 version will be huge and look great. To fit it on the tiny DVD will mean lots of compression and either dump lots of the game or put it on three DVDs. If you love MGS so much then buy a PS3 and play the real version Kojima is making.
Japanese gamers hate the 360. What a great way to make sure your game doesn't sell well. Hopefully this is just a mistake by Ubisoft that will be cleared up fast. It might not sell in Japan anyway. They don't seem to like many games other countries like.
He recommends HD DVD because it's a better value? Oh brother. I sure wouldn't take advice from that idiot. If that's all that matters just stick with DVD. The players are dirt cheap and the discs are much cheaper than HD DVD and Blu-ray. I wouldn't ever recommend anything just because one is cheaper than the other. That isn't the most important reason to buy something.
I guess my question tells you how much attention their game is getting because I don't remember if I even heard of Dark Sector. I probably did but I don't remember the game. I know I don't want it. Thinking like he said though is what's wrong in the gaming industry right now. No more long term thinking by a lot of companies. The PS3 is the console with the best long term life but it seems like a lot of companies prefer the Wii because it's selling to casual gamers. Casual gamers won't support...
Are you sure about getting GT before us? I don't know about that one. There hasn't been any kind of release date given yet. That's one game I see either released at the same time for the two territories or coming to the U.S. before Europe. Do you have a link to that release date?
Stop your loser Sony hating. I bought a Playstation on the first day and it lasted long enough to get me to the PS2. I bought my PS2 the first day and it still works. Now I have a first generation PS3 and it works great. The only Sony console I had go out on me was the Playstation but that one wore out just as the PS2 came out. Sony knows how to make hardware, unlike a certain software company that makes buggy software.
I assume you only said this because of the Uncharted demo problem. That was a demo. I doubt that's going to happen with finished games. If it was a problem Sony would have stuck with the old way of having region games that can't play on other region consoles.
Mark Rein talked about how in Europe the review process takes longer because of all the languages. We just have English in the U.S. so it's one language to review and approve. Maybe Europe should decide on one language. At least for games.
Have you played Everyday Shooter on the PS3? IF not, it's a great game and is a casual game. It was really cheap too. It is worth what it costs. I agree most casual games aren't worth anything but some are. Casual games has a place but they won't replace the big games. If they do the gaming industry will die.
I didn't bother reading the whole thing but that part about Sony even going more to casual gamers because they made the 40GB model PS3 with no backwards compatibility made no sense. That is the opposite in fact. It means they won't sell casual PS2 games to those people. Only PS3 games.
I disagree with all this casual gamer crap though. Casual gamers won't be enough to support the gaming industry. They won't buy many games. Hardcore gamers are the ones who keep the gaming indust...
"Two weeks PRIOR to November 11th? Thats the last week of October... "
That means around three days of October. Three is under half a week. A lot of people might have waited a few days. You have to look at a full month, not three days. And really, you have to look at the whole Christmas season.
