Why don't you just give it away or throw it away? I bet almost everyone will do that. How many copies of COD3 will be on eBay by this weekend? I say 35,000 at least. Maybe someone will give you $5 plus the shipping.
Maybe the reason this deal was even made was Circuit City had a warehouse full of COD3 for the 360. I don't see this offer for the PS3 which tells me they didn't have PS3 copies. Smart move by Circuit City. It got them a bunch of sales of COD4 for the 360 and cleared room in their warehouse. No way would those copies ever get sold.

Well, those people should buy the 40GB PS3 as their Blu-ray player. It's only $399 so it will be a great deal compared to the other players on the market. And it will be upgradeable in the future. I don't see why anyone would buy another Blu-ray player really unless there's one a lot cheaper and they don't want a game console in their home.
In fact, a lot of times I buy a special edition version of a DVD and don't get around to the extras. I mostly want the movies. I like having the ability to watch the uncut or new endings too. I don't really care about things like PIP. I guess it's mostly just a way to market to people. It looks like some great feature.
DVDs had the ability to move around in a movie and see different angles but only if the movie supported it. Did any movies ever do that though?
I hope anyone buying a Blu-ray player sees this and buys a PS3. It seems to be the best way to watch Blu-ray movies and to be able to keep upgrading in the future. Too bad they didn't include an Ethernet port in spec 1.0. That isn't hard to include and just makes upgrades a lot easier.
I watched the video again but paid more attention to the music. I actually like it. It goes with the commercial.
What if Microsoft waited to release the 360? What if they waited six months and included an HD DVD drive instead of DVD? The biggest problem the 360 has besides the reliability problems is DVD is way too small for HD. Everyone will see this by next fall. If Microsoft waited for HD DVD it would have helped them.
If Sony waited until now to release the PS3 it would be dead on arrival. Since the 360 would be two years old and would have an even bigger lead. Sony took a lot of heat...
Maybe the $399 PS3 will drive more traffic to Gamestop but for me it's all the new games for the PS3 that will. There haven't been many to buy this year. Now there are plenty.
I haven't seen the ad on TV yet, just the Web. The music seemed okay to me but I didn't notice it that much. I was too busy watching the ad to notice. I think it does a good job though. You shouldn't notice it that much. It goes with the video and makes the whole ad better. I'm sure they could have done the same thing with other songs but this song does its job.
Up until now there hasn't been that much to show for the PS3. But now Sony has a lot of great games either out or coming out soon as well as a ton of huge games for 2008. And now that the price is so low it's the perfect time for this ad campaign. Sony isn't dumb. These ads wouldn't work so well for a $599 console. But at $399 people will be a lot more interested.
Next year will be huge for the PS3.
Those commercials are nowhere near as good as the U.S. commercials. Maybe they'll do okay in Japan. Who knows. But the new ad campaign in the U.S. seems a lot better.
Finally they got smart. If you don't have a lot of stock your sales look better. If we only ship a few it won't take much to run out of stock. Then we can say it was a success. Great idea. Now they just need to remember, only ship at most 50 Elites to Japan a month. That will keep the hype going.

Whoever wrote that trash is a joke. Sure 2007 hasn't been great for the PS3 but then it's an expensive console. But now you can get it for $399. And 2008 will see a ton of great PS3 games. 2008 will be the Year of the PS3. I heard China is going to call 2008 the Year of the PS3. :)

Joe must have been the main reviewer but he talks about the camera being a problem. The demo did have a messed up camera when I played it but I'm almost through the game now and the camera isn't a problem for me. Did Joe review an unfinished version of the game? I just don't have the problem he had. And Nick's review says he didnt either.

I've already spent too much on my PC as it is. The big problem with PC gaming is it's a bottomless pit if you want to keep up. When I bought my current graphics card it was one of the best you could buy and it isn't that old. Most PC games never took advantage of it even. This is exactly why I don't buy PC games anymore. You have to spend $500 on a good graphics card to keep up with the games. I already spent plenty on my PC. It does everything I need. The grpahics card isn't quite good enough for the newest games but is plenty of power anyway. But then, most PC games still don't push my card anyway. PC gaming is terrible unless you don't care about the latest grpahics. I'll stick to console gaming for now.
