Agree with the article. And far too much focus on social media. It is ridiculous the basic features Sony has not integrated yet like friend notifications and proper game folders.

That's actually 2 Gigabits, not Gigabytes, of DDR3 RAM which equates to 256 Megabytes. But agree, there should be latitude to free up more GDDR5 memory.

I think firmware updates could be less media and social media focused, for example, the lack of basic functionality like friend notifications and proper game folders is ridiculous. And whilst there is a great variety of games coming out, the lack of first party games in the first few years I think highlights Sony's drift to more of a focus on third party games. I think Sony would be doing things a bit differently if the sales were closer to Xbox One.
So you're happy with this social media dross Sony are churning out. Forget about basic stuff that should have been released as a priority. But Sony can do no wrong of course.

Wish Digital Polyphony had the discipline of Turn 10 with Forza. The ridiculous long wait between games is absurd.

Actually, no. PS4 has more games and more exclusives than Xbox One. And much more game diversity.
You can add SNOW, Killing Floor 2 and The Forest as well.
