I hate it when programmers use the textures that are taken right out of consoles for the pc version of a game when they release a game as a multiplatform title. If you're going to release a PC version, you don't have to use the blurry low-res console textures as PCs have unlimited VRAM to work with, for Christ's sake. Bethesda did the same thing, and months after Skyrim's release they gave a HD Texture pack away as a free DLC. That is just wrong, those textures should have bee...
Oh man these custom costumes look so awesome.
It's a shame that Texmod doesn't work when DX11 features are enabled.
Are you sure you're familiar with the technology? With some good adjustment of post-sharpening shaders you won't notice a thing. By doing this all it does will be smoothing edges and ironing out flickering lines.
They can name it "project companioncube" for all I care, just make sure that the hardware is not obsolete and I'll be all in for it.
Try it.
The desperation and the feeling of loneliness that the game portrays is unmatched. It may not be a game at all, but it sure makes you feel something and leaves you thinking after it ends. It's not about problem solving, there are no puzzles at all, it's all about immersion and the atmosphere, and the "experience". And the graphics are amazing to say the least. Attention to detail is, well again, unmatched.
I loved it the first time...
I wonder why they don't use FXAA in every game. It's resource friendly and it can run along with traditional AA types, and it makes a lot of difference. You'll notice no FPS drops at all, it works like a charm. Let's hope it becomes common in the near future.
That's actually closer than I expected. Can't wait to get my hands on it though, Revelations ended so abruptly that it kind of annoyed me as Ubisoft seems to be making it a tradition. Let's hope Desmond's story ends in three, I won't be taking any more of "coming soon" approach.
Nice trailer, but the music ruined it for me. Not that I don't like dubstep, I listen to Skrillex and I enjoy it, but this kind of music doesn't fit well in video games. Oh well, I won't be hearing it in the actual gameplay so no real problem.
If you treat me nice, I treat you nice. If you force me to install a software on my computer to be able to launch a game which in fact spies my files and reports back to you without even notifying me, I never buy your product. That's as simple as that.
You see, there are TWO teams working at Naughty Dog: the one which is working currently on The Last of Us and the other working on Uncharted 4 in the PARALLEL dimension. Oh, wait...
There is a remake of the Metal Gear Solid alreay, that is, Twin Snakes for Gamecube.
For me, controlling a game with a full-sized tablet is extremely inconvenient. I'll stick with the regular controller, thanks.
Don't go wireless, you should always use an ethernet cable to get the best of your connection. It's the same with every device: wired connection is always faster and more stable when compared to wireless connection due to other singals interfering with your router and/or walls blocking the way to your device. The proximity of your device to the router affects the connection speed as well, so you should avoid using wireless if possible.
If you're using a cable and...
While I agree that they should have waited for the next gen to provide a better GTA experience, there's literally no way that the game is going to be released for the new consoles as the graphics in the reveal trailer looked pretty regular. I'm pretty sure that the next generation consoles will be able to do much better than that in terms of graphics.
Well, let's see: it would be unimaginatively named iPlay, for starters. And it would have no buttons at all, it'd probably be touch-screen-only. Some people would argue that a portable device would not necessarily need buttons to control the games, which is far from being true, but they would be so happy with throwing fat freaky birds at falling blocks that they wouldn't even care about buttons at all.
So should we just skip the first AC game that builds the context and the main foundations through which the sequels were developed and jump right into the second game without having absolutely no idea about the origin of the story?
It's true that the second game and the following sequels are better than the first game in terms of variety in gameplay but they still owe their success to the first game as it established the bare basics and the outline of the story which was ...
The author of this article has absolutely no idea about marketing and probably never heard of a term called "brand value". Companies spend years into building a brand name that is well recognized.
My mother who knows nothing about gaming still refers to my Xbox 360 as a Playstation and that's saying something.
Actually if a gorilla was working on a new IP for Vita it would be a big deal.
Are you sure that you witnessed Ezio's death in any of the games? I'm one hundred percent sure that he didn't die at the end of Revelations.
You probably confused Altair with Ezio for a second.
Excuse me, did you just mean that companies are, and have been, selling us 1080p HDTVs the advertised technologies of which can only be used properly in the following... fifteen years?
That's what I call a "hardcore" longevity planned for our TVs by some benevolent companies right there.
