gintoki,
What you said is true and there is a strange joy in getting your hands on a new device before the majority of people do if you're into technology. But on the consumer side of the situation, you not only buy something on a higher price but also receive a poorer service than the later adopters.
In your hypothetical situation, by the way, the prices would probably drop down which would lead to a greater demand and the company in question would stil...
You can play the game allright if you don't battle enemies much and just sneak around instead, but the boss battles are where the pain takes over your body :)
I was about to throw my PSP to the wall when I couldn't get past the last Metal Gear battle in PW. I died so many times that I almost gave in and decided to watch the ending on Youtube.
I did manage to beat it eventually, but that one was hard battle and the sad thing is, it was not due to me pl...
I'm gonna go "control over visual quality" with this one. If I can't control a game easily, the graphics doesn't even matter. I love Peace Walker, but playing the game with one analog stick only was a major pain in the neck.
gamingdroid,
Actually I purchased my 360 on launch as well. I was so hyped for the next generation that I just couldn't wait. Hopefully I had Oblivion, PGR and Gears of War. LIVE was much better and old blades dashboard worked pretty well for me.
I probably beat Gears more than 20 times with different friends on split screen. The game was one of its kind for the time, and it's so much fun when you have your friends with you in front of the TV. Good ti...
Combine spending your hard earned money on an extremely high price ticket with not having too many good games to play, getting a premature XMB/PSN interface with zero interesting service or features (though we had the chance to set up Yellow Dog Linux, and they of course had to spoil the fun by removing a feature that was promised when we bought the system) and not even being able to test demo games as there were literally "a couple" of games up on the market... What a miserable sta...
You're getting me wrong.
I'm not advocating Bethesda nor implying that having to deal with modifications to fix the bugs is a good thing. That's not an excuse. The problems should have been fixed by Bethesda in the first place. I kept losing my horse for example, which annoyed me a lot, and they didn't even think about adding a simple whistle option. I wouldn't say it's clumsy programming but they really did overlook some issues here and there.
Jason,
It's not the disagrees that bothers me. It's their lack of legitimization. If you're going to disagree with people, you could at least have the courtesy to say why, and there's nothing wrong with that. But if there's nothing to be discussed on the comment, why would you rate it anyway?
What I said was as clear as sky: there's a modding community and if you want to benefit from it, feel free to do so. And I highly recommend using...
Well I'll be damned. I know it's N4G and not everyone here is mature enough to understand what is written and I'm doing my best not to flip out but could whoever in the holy mother of f#ck disagreed with me please tell me what the hell is wrong with my comment?
Is there a website called skyrimnexus?
Yes.
Is there a modification which gives merchants multiple times more money? Yes.
Then what I can understand from these disagrees is ...
That's where mods come in.
There's a modification on Skyrim Nexus which allows merchants to have more money than the default values, for example. You can almost iron out every single issue, that is if you have the PC version of course.
No offense, but Conviction sucked major #ss. I'm not sure if I care about the franchise anymore unless it makes the best comeback ever. The first three games were perfect though, still loving them. Back to the roots Sam, you have to go back to the roots.
Oh, did you say Treyerch? I know 'em, good fellas, making cheap video games in a basement with little to no resource.
*sighs*
Gotta love fail trolls these days. If you're gonna troll people, you can at least try to put some effort in it.
@krazykombatant
I have to say that most of your complaints are legit, though I still believe that bugs can be (and some of them already have been) repaired via patches. Only reason I believe the game deserves a 10/10 is the effort that is put into this game by Bethesda, even though I didn't like Oblivion as much, I'm a huge fan of Morrowind and Skyrim is a fine successor untill they make a better one. The world is massive, and if you use graphics modifications on PC, ...
No Sir, I'm afraid you simply cannot do that. Skyrim is "underrated" if not anything else. I daresay it is not only the best game of the year, but also one of the greatest games EVER created.
That you don't like fantasy based role-playing games does not necessarily mean that the game is bad, you can trust me when I say if there's any game out there that deserves a perfect 10/10, it's Skyrim.
And that's coming from a gamer whose o...
Damn, it's saddening to see that the trolling articles still get hits on N4G. What kind of an opinion piece is that?
Skyrim, seriously?
<insert facepalm here>
Black Ops is slightly underrated within the MW series.
I mean, it's not the best story ever written, but storywise I liked it better than the linear world war based stories of classic MW games. The story of Black Ops was interesting and kept me on edge as I revealed the mystery throughout the game, which was a good sign, as it actually made me CARE about the story. I sometimes wonder if some people got the story or played it like a standart shooter, killing everyone in s...
I think I heard something. Oh, what's that?

Oh my god, somebody turn the batsignal on, it's DEADSHOT!
Do not expose yourself too much to this logo-within-a-logo thing, or else you may find yourself in the last layer, which is called logo limbo. And let me tell you this, I'd been stuck there for a century and now I see friggin logos everywhere.
1080p is old news, I've been able to use this resolution natively on my PC for about 4 years with EVERY friggin game. Now give me 1080p with 3D support (no washed up, blurry textures) and that'll be something new.
DragonKnight, it's obvious that you made a hobby of attacking random people for no apparent reason on the internet to yourself (as we can understand from the number of bubbles you have) and I don't know why I'm bothering myself to reply to your comment but yeah, I'll still do it.
How is the overall quality of the launch titles subjective? Can you name me one good game apart from Resistance? If you liked playing Genji, I suggest you keep playing that game forev...
