I completely agree, but your choice of person to reply couldn't have been more wrong- I'm waiting for the PC version which is literally the safe ground. :) Have been doing that since AC1, and didn't have any mentionable issues with AC games. They looked and worked flawlessly.
Please don't use COD and AC in the same sentence. AC games have some of the greatest characters, astonishing atmosphere and design based on actual historical places, and one of the best game stories ever told with an intellectual and philosophical basis. I'd buy AC every year with pleasure. And Brotherhood, which was completed in one year, is still the best AC game so your argument is already invalid.
It's a good looking open-world game with advanced technology which is supposed to run on current-gen consoles that have limited RAM, so yeah, expect some graphical glitches here and there. Control and gameplay issues however, are inexcusable and need to be fixed as soon as possible -if there's any- with a future patch.
Yep, RE5 is sadly a walk in the themepark when compared to, say, Amnesia or Condemned. I mean come on :) Even Dead Space isn't that scary. I'd rather call that game "claustrophobic" than frightening.
Dayum, that'd be my wet dream coming true. I really want to play HALO 4 but I don't want to buy a console for just one game, besides it's the end of a generation and I'd rather stick with PC for multiplatform games (I don't use my PS3 much either, waiting for Last of Us and Beyond), and I'd LOVE to experience Halo 4 on my gaming rig with maximum graphics. Let's keep our fingers crossed for this, PC folks.
Here's my review of the game for you: anyone who likes COD will like this game. Anyone with a good computer will like this game even more. End of the line.
RAM and processor power is not the real issue when it comes to grapchis, they contribute to the graphics, sure, but it's mainly the GPU unit that determines the graphical power of a device.
To give an example, if you upgrade your processor from an i5 to i7, you don't see much of a difference in games. When you upgrade your RAM from 8 gigs to 16 gigs, you'll hardly see any difference at all. But upgrade your graphics card from something like GTX 480 to GTX 680 and ...
If you actually look closely you'll notice that Joel has less hair in his nostrils in the PS3 version. But I'm planning on getting the PS3 version anyway, as that's where my online homies will be. Homies are always important because you play with homies all the time. Can't let my homies down, no sir I can't.
I was expecting it to be good but please, Criterion, if you're going to reboot another NFS game, let it be Underground. I missed night races, in depth car modifications, and non-open world, straight to the point racing system. You have saved the grace of daylight races with Hot Pursuit and Most Wanted remakes and it's time for the glorious Underground to shine once again after it's downfall with, well, almost all the entries following the first Underground game.
The answer is rather simple actually: because gamers don't care about social networks when they boot up their friggin' gaming consoles to play some video games. If I want to go to Facebook, I can do that on my computer. But if I turn on my console that means I've decided to spend my dedicated time for one simple task only: I'm there to game the cr#p out of my night. Media functionality, social networking, browsing etc. are all secondary functions to a gamer, we tend to do thes...
Less traffic? I mean, does it have the whole world, same as the home console version, and the only difference is the traffic density? How great is that for a bloody handheld! I doubt anyone would be annoyed by that as it's a top notch work they've done right there already, if they have successfully ported the whole map to the Vita version.
I have to agree, Homecoming was by no means a "bad" game. It was different from the other SH games, but at least the atmospehere was still there and it still felt like a Silent Hill game, preserving the usual looks and creepiness, unlike a debatable recent game *cough* RE6 *cough* that disappointed a great deal of us. Furthermore, Downpour is a better game. Yeah, Homecoming was not bad, and Downpour is EVEN BETTER. It's not the masterpiece you'd expect but it's at least ...
I think Wii U may not be the best selling console next generation.
Motion controller was a nice gimmick to sell consoles to people who have no idea about gaming at all, I'll give them that. Grannies and older dudes loved how easy it was to control a game, and enjoyed gaming for once in their lives. It was a great party console where people gathered around their TVs and waved their arms joyfully to make some digital MSN emoticon-like characters do some sporty stuff. Even l...
I watched the ending yesterday as I don't own an Xbox 360, and I can assure you that if you even happen to watch it by mistake, you wouldn't spoil anything at all, so you can actually relax, guys. It has a totally spoiler-free ending, maybe it's made this way on purpose.
I'm guessing spoiler trolls are quite disappointed this time, as there's really nothing much to spoil concerning the ending. No fun for you this time, trolls, not this time.
I don't mean to burst your bubble but technically speaking this is not a graphics mod at all, it's rather a color adjustment modification. As you probably already know, you can mess with color palette with injector tools, and you can force FXAA/SMAA to your games as well using those small, useful tools.
I remember reading injectors actually do work with console games as well. It's not a PC spesific, hardware consuming visual alteration, there's almost zero per...
I don't think this game was designed to have a sequel in the first place. The ending mentions Corvo dying of old age. We can still play as another chosen of the Outsider in a possible sequel though, but I'm pretty sure Corvo's story is finished with this game.
That's sad, because Black Ops 2 uses an ARCHAIC game engine that's based on a "modified" five year old technology. If Wii U can't run it at native 1080p, I can't imagine how it could run something like Battlefield 3 @1080p with full detail. Here you go, your first next-gen console. Now that's a great start.
Good friggin luck to Halo fans, I bet trolls are getting ready for a spoiler attack around the whole internet already. If you happen to expose yourself to a spoiler though, try not to worry about it too much. Some idiots spread false spoilers, just to freak people out. That happened to me with Alan Wake, some dude PM'd me with an "Alan kills his wife" message, which is NOT true at all. Play the game anyway, and don't worry yourself too much about potential spoilers.
What happened to Sam Fisher can be explained with a term called "Nathanization", that is, the genius notion of "Oh you know what, if we make our character more like Nathan Drake, and put more action in, that'll be a guaranteed way to sell our games to younger generations who wouldn't normally buy a traditional stealth game!"
Nathanization has severe consequences as you can see, it can turn well-developed characters who have years of history into co...
I'd rather want to hear the full specs, with clear, spesific details like GPU specs, VRAM size, maximum processing power etc. before I buy a console but oh well it's Nintendo for ya, they'll show Miiverse instead.
If anybody knows what kind of a GPU is used in the console (not rumors please, the console's launch is so close that talking about specs based on rumors is actually kind of embarrassing) I'd love to be informed. But I doubt anyone would come up ...
