Will there be any retexture work involved?
If not, any PC can run these games in glorious full HD, I don't know why I should be bothered to get it. I hope they can give us gamers who've played them all before a reason to go buy this collection other than the enhanced resolution.
Awesome news! I'll be buying both for Vita and I would further love to get a physical copy of the collection if they plan to release it in the future.
Oddworld games are pure awesomeness in the form of video games.
Internet jargon. Meaning I won't be staying here to watch the flood of disagrees I'll be getting for my comment.
Whoever disagreed is not a real MGS fan.
Dudes, just stick to Ground Zeroes. This is "Bayonetta the Cybrog Edition".
*flies away*
Any chance they'll release it on PSN to be publicly downloaded any time soon?
Huh, lucky me I guess?
The thing is I don't even feel like plugging my ethernet cable to my PS3 in order to download this demo, feels like it'd be too much of an effort. Guess I'll pass.
Yep, when there's nothing to talk about, you start talking about cover arts. Except, there are always plenty of other things to talk about.
I don't understand, this shouldn't have been an issue to talk about at all.
What is it now, medieval times all of a sudden?
I think you're not getting the point, they're looking at the matter from a commercial standpoint- I mean they have to, they're a company. In order to appeal to masses, they needed to do something like that. You and me both know what the game is all about, so we'll be getting it when it comes out straight away. But a casual gamer will NOT buy the game at first sight, Bioshock title gives you no context whatsoever, the easiest way to attract casuals' attention is, like it or...
I don't understand the complaints. Does he have to be an elite Dr. with a PHD degree though? He's an agent, that's it. He's well shaped and looks strong, self confident and ready to get into action, like you'd expect from a generic field agent. What else would you expect from a man who's sent on a rescue mission?
Besides, we don't know anything about him yet except his appearance. I'd say play the game first, talk about the character later. Kno...
Friggin hilarious. I doubt the dude is actually Kojima himself, but he made my day with the fake photo of Joakim. Come on, you must be a grumpy old man if you haven't laughed at this. Humor, I always appreciate.
I was watching VGA live and the first moment I saw him while crawling up the hall, I shouted "Snake!!" like a madman at home (thankfully I was alone).
All I needed to see was his neck. The long hair, the beard, his silhoutte is something I can recognize from a mile away. In fact I believe someone who played all MGS games up to know would not be fooled by the mock trailer, for all other gamers though, it was great advertising.
Why can't some people catch little nuances in language and take things too liretal all the time, is beyond me. He didn't explicitly say "It was not Metal Gear Solid 5." right, do we agree on that? Good.
Now let's take the second step: he said "it's a completely new game". If it's MGS 5 indeed, is it going to be a new game, different than Ground Zeroes? Yeah, it will be, right? Okay, move on to the next step.
He also add...
I'm thinking that the arm is already there, it's just a post traumatic condition which makes Snake believe that he has an amputated arm. Phantom pain in that regard, makes complete sense.
Guys, let it go. It's Metal Gear Solid 5. The cunning title which actually contains the letters for Metal Gear Solid V is confirmed to be designed by Kyle Cooper, the official title artist of MGS series. Do you still need further proof?

MGS 5, confirmed.
Yep, that's definitely it. Congratulations, Kojima-san. You made an outstanding reveal and proved why you are one of the best developers out there.
MGS5, confirmed.
What a gorgeous game.
I think it has the best character models of any game, including the ones showcased as the "next gen" titles. As a PC mostly gamer I still can't believe how on Earth they managed to get a game which looks just as good as a next-gen title working on a seven friggin' year old gaming machine.
Naughty Dog are just... wow, man.
For a moment I thought they were about to announce Metal Gear Solid 5. Not only the bearded character looked exactly like Snake, but also the engine bore an extreme resemblance to Fox Engine.
The game looks good though, definitely caught my attention. I'll be looking forward to hearing about it soon.
Do you seriously think they waited this long to get their hands on the device, so that they can know what's inside the case, Knight_Crawler? This is not a question directed at you spesifically, I've been reading people saying "he got it to see what the specs are." That's not true at all.
They exactly knew what the specs of the device were, before even it was out, from the initial stages to the final revisions. They're not end users like us, as manufa...
That's nice, but I've got a better idea: how about a new type of physical media for games that can destroy themselves to oblivion after a limited time? Or better yet, how about gaming consoles with the ability of bricking themselves after running a pre-determined number of games?
Jesus... Do you have to invent new things to make gaming less enjoyable every single day, is that a secret agenda or something? That has to be the WORST thing that has happened to gaming afte...
