I completely agree with this. I bought a rig with a founders 1080 the month it came out as well as an Asus zypherous laptop, which between the two was quite a chunk of money. It seems I am constantly running into issues trying to get them operating games smoothly. Way too much hassle for the money i pumped in. Next gen I am sticking with consoles and bypassing upgrades.
I feel like they have 2 skus coming at launch but are only releasing the info on the pricier version to generate hype. Then when all the kids decide on the Xbox the parents will run out for Christmas and purchase the cheaper console.
latency is inherent to both the tv display and controller input. They cannot do anything about what choice the consumer makes for a display but they can control the input latency. However the controller input lag is already quite minimal so it would probably only be noticeable for elite competitive gamers. I agree, i myself buy this every year along with a bunch of VC because my life is basketball as I am a college coach and my other passion is games. I always hope though that a big portion of its user base will just get fed up with the greed and non transparency. Instead the sales just keep growing emboldening them ever more. Actually the last of us factions was a better multiplayer experience than either of those games and I am a huge Halo fan. You probably should have tried it. ND is making it seem like they are releasing a stand alone factions which if it is ps5 exclusive might end up being some of the best mp we have seen yet.
Some interesting Info, the new Sony tvs shown at ces 2020 were some of the only high end displays without hdmi 2.1 when LG has already shipped that standard in their 2019 oled lineup. Could this mean PS5 won't support the new tech? I don't know but the new Xbox will and that would be an advantage and appealing to high end consumers.
If 399 is true I'm more focused on the Series X. I love playstation but I'm not interested in underpowered hardware at launch again and will just wait until whatever more powerful pro version comes out. Tvs now have 8k and or 4k with hdmi 2.1 capable of running high frame rates. I want a console that can if not push the specs at the very least utalize them.
Because there are so many haters on here against mp games and respawn has mostly specialized in mp. I swear there is a legion of gamers that can't handle losing in mp so instead just try and look down and trash anything mp oriented. This site is overwhelming made up of sp players so the logic of downvotes and disagrees is easy to understand.
Round 4 was the best the franchise had to offer. You could find success playing to each fighters strengths and anytime somone wanted to spam a particular cheese i could always find a realistic boxing strategy to counter it. Champion started off pretty good but the game was very exploitable and became a cheese fest. The auto block severely hurt the game as well. If they ever make a new game i hope they look at how they achieved competitve balance in the gameplay of Round 4.

Agree a %1000. I am tired of these cheap ass people when new consoles only come out every 6 or 7 years and the tech is already outdated because they are afraid people won't pay a premium price for a better product.
