"kaz wanted to put too much into the game"

Nothing?

The virtual address space is unified in PCs. Which is why you get way less than 4GB under 32 bit because it needs to map the VRAM under the same address space.

He said "virtual address space".

Next gen consoles probably won't be needing to do much graphical workload on the CPU anyway, the CPUs will probably only get slightly more powerful while the GPU should be 5 or 6 times as powerful as the current gen.

Deferred rendering was...

Another possibility is sli or crossfire of 2 custom mid-range chips. The problem with high-end graphics chips in relation to the design of next gen consoles is their heat output - which means the cases need better airflow, harming the process of making the devices compact for cost effectiveness and product appeal.

64bit shared address space is very likely to be the given standard without any problems. As far as guantity goes, 2GB of high bandwidth GDDR5 or similar memory woul...

The majority of people that play it are in Europe actually. But the majority of players overall live in countries that drive on the right.

Who actually drives properly in GTA anyway? I just drive like a nutter as fast as possible and end up in some funny crash and burn explosion :D

San Andreas (I know this for a fact)
March 2012 (they were considering a Wii-U version so there might be some delay, or different release dates)
I also heard that there is no PC version planned.

Rockstar staff don't seem to care about their NDA to be honest, but any leaks are usually debunked as rumour anyway.

@iamnsuperman

What they do is take the content out of the game on all 3 platforms because the 360 doesn't have enough space then they use their huge marketing budget to sell as many copies of 'x contentless game' as they can.

Not made by Bungie though...

MS just want to get the sales from the name of the game even though it will probably suck.

So.... now then?

512MB RAM is already causing huge creative limitations, and did day 1.

It isn't physically changing the disks that's bad. It's because the game doesn't fit onto one disk which means it cant be proper open world or they have to skimp out on content. Oblivion was nerfed by the 360's DVD, as was GTA4 - Skyrim will be the same. Compare the amount of gameplay in Oblivion to Morrowind, or GTA4 to San Andreas...

Actually changing the disk doesn't matter at all.

Morrowind took ages to load and crashed all the time >_<

But it was still worth it.

It is up to the developer, XGamer. Devs usually have a portion of the game installed and have some of the content read off the disk. So the largest bottleneck resources (textures) would be on the HDD and rarely accessed resources (cut scenes etc.) would be on the disk. They don't want to install the entire game because a lot of their customers might have tiny 40GB HDDs (or something).

It tends to be games that only load slightly faster off SSDs. In a PC - the SSD makes a huge difference to everything else (and still helps for games). I think it is because games typically have to decompress the content, which causes a CPU bottleneck at some point.

If SMGs are going to be accurate across the map again then sniping will be pointless. The PPSH in BC2:Vietnam is more effective than the m40 at any range.

60fps = worse graphics, less enemies etc.

I think that is the point here...
