£14.99 is still too much for Stronghold 3, that game is a disaster (comparing it to the older ones).
"Academy of Interactive [Arts Sciences]" isn't that an oxymoron?
Also, these three things simply do not apply to skyrim: "story, gameplay engineering, and gameplay direction."
The story was rubbish, compared to a whole load of other RPGs, the gameplay is horridly engineered (if by that, they mean programming - which is what software engineering is but I wouldn't expect artsy fartsy types to have any idea about that even when they s...
Exactly IRetrouk.
I wouldn't want them to stop making a series just because it doesn't sell huge numbers - that is just bad for the industry, and it is what multiplat publishers have been doing which is why there are so few creatively impressive games being released on consoles these days (the indie and small developers have allowed the PC market to stay somewhat creatively inspired). And so very few new IPs.
Having a broad range of smaller titles tha...
yeah.
But "as it has not many choices of exclusives" also applies to the PS3. There are certainly loads more but there are still not that many compared to the mighty PS2 or even the original Xbox (infact, the PS3 and 360 have less exclusives than any other successful console that has been around in my lifetime)
The only PS3 exclusives which I, personally, am interested in are MGS (which is now going multi >_< and I don't think MGR:R is eve...

Does that mean there won't be a Rollcage 3?
Sony still have a lot to give in my opinion, they should be making MORE games - not less. Hopefully they will reel out a bunch of exclusive series next gen to get a market foothold early on.
How can there be a battlefield 3 tournament worth 1.6m
The winners (or rather, losers) will be decided by the bugs lol. As much as I would love for BF to be competitively possible (because I would certainly be involved if I could find a team) I think DICE should at least program it properly first. Even pro CS players are enraged by the few small, rare, bugs that are in CS which can completely break a match.
Anyway, I still wouldn't call pro gaming mainstr...
yeah I didn't bother mentioning that because your average mind on n4g wouldnt't compute the complexities (which is totally understandable).
the algorithms under quantum logic are completely different to the conventional computing of which we are all accustomed to. So perhaps 500x is an exaggeration but I was merely pointing our what sweeney was trying to convey.
After traditional raster graphics we will invest some time into voxel based computing of w...
Return policies are a bit crappy though...
It won't be a smooth transition. But, for example, if we were to suddenly crack quantum computing tomorrow then computing power will have increased 500x every year since the 80s on average.
I think to get a proper understanding of what he is saying you really needed to have watched the presentation. It is just paraphrased in the article of course.
Yep.
It's mostly art/model assets and environment creation that take up the bulk of employee time since the dawn of this generation so a big rise in costs is expected but the likes of 60m for games like APB just doesn't make sense (doesn't even use a proprietary engine lol).
Luckily though, costs shouldn't go up any more next gen as artists are already creating assets of extremely high quality that are scaled down to run in realtime. However i...
Yes I know all that.....
Ping and DICE's bad network programming (adds another 300-400 ms delay, which is why they moved over to client side hit detection for BF3 because it wasn't profitable to EA for them to reprogram it properly)
Yeah.
CS players do genuinely only take a frame or 2 to have a bullet through your skull. What I don't understand is how so many noobs think it's cheating.
Yeah I have been waiting for somebody to post a video of an actual good player.
BF3 has some sick gunplay and it certainly feels very CS-like in the way recoil is applied and how your movement counts.
My kit of choice is m98B lasersight + straight pull and 44 magnum as secondary - which is better than any AR, SMG or Shotgun at close-med range lol.
BF3 has client side hit detection which is just so awesome if you have a good aim ;)
"it sound killer wiked"
I don't even...
I hope so it'll be hilarious.
I hope it sells millions, just to troll the publishers who turned him down.
I know loads of people have been dieing to play a new point & click adventure game, of which there are so few.
Publishers obviously think that the console market is all there is.
I like the way they have to "look into it" when all we want is a variable in the ini file or options menu (that gets directly plugged into the rendering API, work that they will already have done to hard code the FOV in the code somewhere).
Business idiots/ "designers"/ producers in suits think they need a board meeting and an investors summit then schedule HR to find a suitable outsourcable workforce to make any simple change that makes the game good on P...
what?
also "please stop playing TES games" who are you to tell me not to play a series?
I don't think you got what I was trying to say anyway.
