Would be nice if it helps move more hardware which it should. What they really should do is bundle it or release alongside some enticing software: that's how you move hardware.
NO MORE INDIES
Lol nothing for the Vita other than Toukiden. This is what I love, you stupid indie loving Sony fanboys promote indies as if they actually provide a solution to the problem when they don't. Did you see that list? That is pathetic, or is the PS4 going to save it? Looking ahead it only gets worse: Final Fantasy X HD and then what? What games have a release date on the system: NOTHING!. Or is a watered down port of a game that came out almost a year and a half ago going to save us?? You peop...
Lol what about the indie revolution? Won't that save the world? Won't the PS4 save the world? Won't indies save the world? I'm just mocking Sony fanboys here, but I think a Monster Hunter would be awesome on the Vita.
.........crap I was really hoping we'd get some big AAA software announcements but maybe we'll have to wait until E3. Perhaps they're just playing it down? Who knows....
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS BRING US SOFTWARE!
Lol thank you, the change has to come from Sony. They need to be aggressive in bringing developers to the platform and this does not mean indies!
Are you serious!? First off, let me say that I myself own close to 30 vita games. However, I would only say that about half of those games are quality software. Yes I'm crapping on indies because the majority of them contribute next to nothing to the system and offer little content. Only AAA software will really move consoles. Example, Bioshock Vita which was supposed to have been done by now but Sony is too cheap to pay 2K to make the game even though there would be a high long term retu...
Lol there's no getting around it at this point. They need to bring some very compelling software if they want the Vita to go anywhere at this point. The thing is practically dead, but as a Vita owner i'd like to think that it has something coming its way in the future. Also, indies are not going to cut it at this point.
Lol well the real value of gaming hardware is the software you can run on it. I'm surprised indies weren't addressed as they are not doing much for the system other than (poorly) filling a software drought along with Japanese shovelware (no not Toukiden or Final Fantasy X). The fact that we have no announced games from Sony outside of SCEJ is simply astonishing and shows that there is really no push to get this thing into people's hands. So yes, I think it is a niche handheld, a n...
Lol if you don't own a PS3 with a PS Plus subscription then there's really no reason to play it. Hotline Miami is a great game? You can't be serious....
Hotline Miami cannot even be considered as equal compared to AAA games. Controls are awkward, it's a 2D arcade game with no plot, no character development, no nothing. I gave up after the 5th level because it was so stupid.
Where are you getting these numbers from? No such site even suggests that they are close to 10 million. I own one and I have to say the only thing that it needs is advertising and software.
lol good way to put it
Really do you have numbers to back that up? Do you a specific number indicating increases in sales where we can compare one week to another? I'll drop you in on a hint: there isn't any such data.
The 3DS appeals to a much bigger demographic than the Vita which only appeals to people who like JRPGs or adventure games. After all, there are only 4 shooter games on the system and maybe 2 or 3 racing games on the system.
We just need more and better soft...
Lol it has been two years. I think it is time as Vita owners that we start demanding more effort on Sony's part to bring us more and better software. When Sony had a chance to change this at both E3 and Gamescom last year they utterly failed. We're getting a watered down version of Borderlands 2, 2D side scrollers, low budget indie games, and last but not least a game where you can manage a music convention. SOUNDS GREAT.
Sony needs to show something at E3 or this han...
Actually the PS4 has not contributed as much to Vita sales as delusional Sony fan boys like to think (I'm not saying you are one). Sony stated that demand has increased by 68 percent but they never produced numbers so can their statement really be taken as credible? If we look at VG Chartz you'll actually find that Vita sales were down the week of the PS4 launch and only went up the week after because of black friday. Looking at sales ending on the 4th of January only 11k Vitas were s...
Lol why not get your daily exercise? Seriously though, it's one room is that really worth $150?
"When they are showing clear and strong signs of going to a more online based structure (Playstation Now) a device like this is needed."
So if you believe being able to access the internet at anytime is "another step towards their goal" how is a device that is limited to a TV going to do that? Why are smart phones so popular and why are pe...
Why don't you check Vita hardware sales and get back to me on that: Software always sells hardware.
Totally agree, if they want the Vita to succeed they need to start taking risks. Granted, most of the software on the thing is first party, but nonetheless, it seemingly stopped with Tearaway. I hope to god we get some announcements at E3 with some big name franchises. I do not want to watch a bunch of crappy indie games at the biggest gaming event in the world.
