That's because Sony was a lot more innovative with the new features they added in. Such as an OLED screen, rear touch screen, normal touch screen, two cameras, and motion controls. Yeah, that sounds like a gimmick right. You wanna know why people are interested in the Vita aside from games? Hardware Baby!
If they go casual they are done from day one. Apple is the casual market. Seriously, how many people do you see in public playing a 3DS? How many people have you seen playing casual games on their iPod touch or iphone. Their only option is to appeal to hardcore gamers which they are clearly not doing. I think your doing the right thing by having low expectations of Nintendo.
Yeah, they need to have a good E3 in order to stop the Wii U from dying out on day 1. To be honest, the launch titles they have are nothing short of awful. The only way it will sell is if it is priced to compete with the PS3 and Xbox 360.
Battlefront III for the vita please... would be amazing!
I don't care about the Wii U because that system will die out pretty quickly. I just want one on the Vita.
"With the best 3rd party has to offer" AHAHA you have no idea how hard I laughed at that. In fact, I still am! "A fair shot at becoming the ultimate gaming machine" OMG it just gets better! There's not a shot in hell this is going to happen. You think Nintendo is innovative??? I'm sorry, who's using 5 year old hard ware!? Ah right, Nintendo is... I also don't think you'll need to wait in line because chances are the price tag on the WiiU will be over $3...
I don't understand why price is a problem. A tablet or iphone would cost more than a PS Vita. Although, that is proof as to how dumb some American consumers are. The Vita is also more powerful than the iPad(2). I agree with Cy_Wolf in saying that it needs some games. They're just around the corner though with Resistance and Little Big Planet which should be amazing.
@browngamer41
No I don't play COD or Battlefield or Team Fortress.... thanks for trying. Nintendo's rehashes are not the best in the world... Naughty Dog's are which is a first party developer for who? No, I totally agree rehashes are common in the gaming industry, the extent that Nintendo has taken it to is absurd....
It's going to be over $300..... People are complaining how the Vita is expensive at $260!!! I'd like to know how they intend to compete with Sony and MS who are using less expensive hard ware and are then over clocking it. The stage is set for Sony if they can make the Orbis affordable. They are rumored to be using the 7670 which to me, is disappointing... but it can still produce some nice visuals. The Wii U will be very much like the 3DS. A great start, which decays into nothing unt...
I wish Nintendo luck with that. They have rarely gotten third party support even though they are "innovative" which I find hilarious. Putting better hardware in systems allows developers to be innovative Nintendo fan boys.... Anyway, I doubt the Wii U will receive much third party support. Maybe just because of hard ware, but I'm sure a tablet controller can only complicate things. Nintendo will just throw out their rehashed first party titles as always.... just wait.
I know that's a pretty bad deal right? Who honestly wan'ts COD on their Vita or any system for that matter.
"Half these articles are written by people who can't afford vita's"
Couldn't agree more!
Find it hard to believe they'll wow with the Wii U. I bet they'll announce more crappy first party titles though.
Give us something for the Vita please.... This could be your generation Sony don't let us down.
I have trouble respecting Zelda and Mario... no offense. To be honest, there are way too many Zelda and Mario games like Mario Kart 7. Seven games in one series is a lot for a series with only three new characters appearing in Mario Kart 7. I'm also sick of the same crap with Zelda. The races are mostly the same, all of the characters are the same, and the setting is mostly the same.
I don't see what the problem is with having three Uncharted games is. The average meta...
God of War......... YES!
You can smack talk the PS Vita about exclusives when Nintendo can get some decent 3rd party support. The fact that Ubisoft seems to be their only developer is pathedic.... Although, I have to admit, the Vita is very much the same at the moment. However, the Vita hasn't been out for over a year.
Great exclusives? You mean the re-hashed first party crap fests that Nintendo put out every year? Bleeding edge hardware? Are you sober?
The Vita will only get better. I mean come on, yes it's struggling but it hasn't really got any third party support yet. I think once more developers develop for it, it will take off. Resistance will help and so will Little Big Planet.
@ronin4life
I'm sorry where are these games you are talking about? Are you referring to Kingdom Hearts or are you referring to the awful first party titles? LOL a blow out E3 from Sony could easily surpass Nintendo's titles. Sony stated they would like to sell 10 million units by the end of the fiscal year. They have 1.8 million in sales right now. So, clearly they have something MASSIVE in store for E3. What is it? The rumored 20 NEW GAMES. Nintendo won't come clos...
