I was an Xbox fan until all the dreaded rumors became a reality May 21st, confirmed restrictions on June 6th, the coffin lid closed and nailed shut on June 10th ($499), then the hole dug and filled in with Don Mattricks interview on June 11th.
I'm off the MS bandwagon and headed for the land of Sony.

"you got to be a Forza hardcore or something similar to get a ONE at launch..."
I'm a hardcore Forza fan and I'm not getting the X1. Trust me when I say I'm not happy about it but I'm not taking it up the backside by this (MS) smug arrogant company a minute longer. I jumped ship and I'm heading to the land of Sony.
Agreed.
Which is why I'm already dialing back responding to articles like this. MS will be looking up at Sony ALL next gen if they don't make drastic changes to their policies regarding DRM, online connectivity at price point.
Every single time I have a shred of weakness and start to think "maybe" should say WTF, just pre=order a ONE as well? BAAAM! Articles like this pop up. Keep them coming to help keep me strong.
If this is true? The games that were shown at MS's E3 Event might not look as good as run as well as they did while on display. Just another smoke and mirrors / dog and pony show (Milo, NATAL & The Wizard of OZ).
A heads up for those that pre-ordered thru Amazon. Amazon just sent me an email last night a few hours after enquiring about my PS4 pre-order June 10thafter all the launch / standard confusion.
"Dear Amazon.com Customer,
Thank you for pre-ordering the PlayStation 4. Yesterday we made a change to the name of the product by adding "Launch" and "Standard" editions, which may have caused confusion for some of our customers.
I want that rig. I wish they sold them to the public. I would definitely buy one.

First off this video is off camera (as the person alludes to and apologizes for it's poor quality for that very reason).
Secondly, Drive Club isn't trying to be a realistic simulation (not that Forza is overly realistic but the best you can get on MS hardware).
DC is more like GRID, PGR style racer. Also don't forget this is a brand new first ever IP. Of course Turn 10 working on their 3rd generation of hardware and 6th gam...
Personally I think it's embarrassing listening to these studios trying to spin fluff in MS's favor. Sellouts, nothing more, nothing less.
Don't have an internet connection than the XBOX ONE isn't for you. Buy a 360.
-Don Mattrick
If being a douchebag was an Olympic event Don Mattrick would be favored to bring home the Gold.
I'm a sucker to bust out laughing every time I hear or read this "pissing on your leg and calling it rain."
Sony is definitely the people's champion. That is why the crowd went nuts when Sony unveiled their plans to continue on as always without putting a bunch of unnecessary restrictions on their consumers. People's champ indeed.
LOL!
Thx for that Bathyj.
I just spewed coffee all over my keyboard.
Well played, Saints. Well played.

I concur.
That's why I pre-ordered the PS4 for $399 as my next generation console. More power, more studios, no restrictions, no DRM, just games, games, games and more games. Plug and play entertainmentgasm.
"known and respected by gamers"
^OMG this was funny.

Most gamers don't respect any media outlet. What makes you think Edge is pinnacle of all things gaming? Seriously, I am of the opinion of one, my own. Nearly every media outlet relies heavily on sensationalism, an agenda and can't report just the facts without clouding their judgement with their own personal bias (one way or the other).
The media gets paid thr...

What did I write that wasn't logical?
The PS3 is ahead of the 360 worldwide in sales. Sony launched more than a year after MS, had a more expensive console, was a harder system to develop for and Sony did not take online gaming seriously out of the gate and had to play catch up.
Sony significantly outsold their competition in both previous generations. It wasn't even close. Nintendo, so far, is doing well below expectations with the Wii U and M...
Sony is going to significantly out pace MS next generation. Same launch window, $100 dollars cheaper, no unnecessary restrictions, NO DRM, open ended peripheral based system, a plethora of studios that create incredible games and new IP's every generation, consumer friendly product all around.
MS couldn't have possibly made more mistakes heading into this next generation. I know dozens of MS fans that are not getting the X1 and most of them have already pre-ordered th...
The first thing that came to mind when I saw KI during MS's E3 event was it looks just like Street Fighter IV with KI animations <- and considering it's suppose to be a next generation game? That's not a compliment.
It looks like it could easily run on 360 hardware and it doesn't have the fluid 60 FPS animation that SFIV has from this generation. It looks like they copy and pasted the engine from KI on the N64 using SFIVs cell shaded graphics engine. Every ...
I'm already set for next gen with the PS4. Pre-ordered 2 PS4's (1 for me, 1 for my son), 2 additional controllers and 8 games. Pick them up at Best Buy the day it's released. Can't wait!
I'm not going to lie. I still have a slight urge to buy an X1, but the urge goes away when I consider the higher price point, unnecessary restrictions, FULL DRM, no backward compatibility with any of my 360 peripherals and replay Don Mattrick's interview today over and...

Is similar to what I was going to write. Sony only showed part of their hand. Where MS shows most of what they have to offer this year and into the following year at E3. E3 is it for MS. That is always where they go big.
Sony treats all the major shows equally. They have a plethora or 1st party support and are known for bring out a lot of new IP's every generation. They are still bringing out new blockbuster quality IP's this gen (PS3). Also S...
I have purchased every COD engine up until GHOST. I am definitely passing on it. I'm tired of Activision spending more cash on advertising than putting it into their product. COD is trash next to others shooters when it comes to mechanics. The campaign is nothing but trigger spawn nonsense. Advance to a certain area to stop the respawning CPU. Same trash over n over add nausea.
This engine is from 2 generations ago and they are carrying it over yet again to the next gen? ...

I have the Fanatec CSR Elite (Official Forza 4 Wheel) so I feel your pain but it's not going to happen. Our Fanatec wheels wont work on the X1.
MS is working with Thrustmaster and they are building the Official Forza 5 wheel. Rumors are that it is the T500 motor but built around X1 code. The T500 is an incredible wheel (I own one) but I prefer the CSR Elite and especially the CSPedals V2 over the T500 pedals.
I don't see why our wheel...
