Obviously YOU haven't been watching the past 3 GENERATIONS with Sony. What was just released for the PS3? Oh a little game called "Last of Us". A brand new IP. This late in the console cycle, from a top developer and it's getting rave reviews.
What was the LAST big exclusive game released for an MS console that wasn't Halo, Gears, Forza or Fable in the past few years?

All I know is what I didn't like about these controllers (360 & DS3) it appears both companies have addressed. I will wait until I get my hands on them for myself before passing judgment.

No doubt about it. It was money as to why they implemented Full DRM in the 1st place. It was the realization of them losing money as to why they dropped it just a few days after E3.

I'm going to start Last of Us tomorrow. I hope it will last me a good week. I will have a lot of free time on my hands the next several days and looking forward to going on this new adventure from Naughty Dog. Can't wait.

I think MS proved today this had nothing to do with Sony fans and everything to do with their bottom line, profits. They more than likely were well below pre-order expectations and knew it wasn't going to change unless they changed their policy on DRM.

MS dropped DRM because it's not what MOST consumers wanted. It doesn't matter how anyone tries to spin MS dropping this policy. It would've ultimately hurt the industry if they were successful with it. It's obvious, by how fast they rescinded, they were getting trounced by it's implementation. Proving most consumers weren't going to put up with it.
I say congratulations to those that were sticking to your guns and voting with your wallets.

What you and others fail to realize is it's not just about the DRM. It's always connected. MS can spin that nonsense anyway they want with 24 hour verification. It's ALWAYS CONNECTED. Who will turn on their XBOX ONE every 23:59:59 (hrs/mins/seconds)? NOBODY. So you will need to either have your X1 connected either hard wired or in wifi range at all times or you will have to go thru the necessary steps of verification just to play games. I preordered 3 as well. All paid in full and all will be put to use as soon as we get them. Can't wait.
Infamous is my 2nd favorite series this gen (PS3/360) only behind the Uncharted series. Second Son is going to be amazing! Everything I have seen on it is simply incredible. This just makes me want it all the more. It gives us soon to be PS4 consumers something to look forward to early next year. We will have plenty of games to hold us over until then.
I can't wait to see what else Sony's 1st party studios have in store for us gamers. Next gen is going to be one hell...

I started out with a wheel mounted to a plywood table I built years ago. Than it, as everything does with me, evolved into a room dedicated for gaming but primarily racing. Especially Forza. It's my favorite game on a wheel. I'm just really frustrated with MS. I get most of what they're doing with the X1 just not them abandoning peripherals, used and rental games.

I usually need to play a game for at least a couple, but usually several, hours before I draw my own conclusions and I've been gaming since it's inception. I guess I'm just old school and I don't have the ability to judge a game in it's entirety from viewing a small portion of what's currently available. SMH
