"I'm more concerned about the small amount of tracks, and Forza's reputation of DLC- milking..."
Which makes me wonder if this is why there are less cars and tracks than Forza 4. Turn 10 is one of the worst devs in the industry for milking DLC. It's far and away one of the biggest complaints on Forza forums over the years. Some have actually walked away from the series because of it.

Resolutions and frame rates don't matter yet PC gamers will spend hundreds if not thousands of dollars just to get the most out of their gaming experience.
I was big into PC gaming in the late 90's into the mid 2000's. I would drop 1K on dual Voodoo cards (man those things use to be the size of small tablets) just to get higher resolutions and frame rates. I remember bench testing the original Quake and challenging my friends to achieve the insane number of frame ...
If Gears came to the PS4 it would be devastating for MS. It's their 2nd biggest exclusive draw. Take that away and most will literally start the Halobox chants of the original XBOX generation all over again.
I personally prefer Gears to Halo. Halo is a great "running" game but it just doesn't appeal to me anymore. I'm not getting an X1 this year and a game like Gears would be a reason for me to pick one up down the road. If Epic were to bring Gears to th...

"Who knows, fans won't care and will buy it day 1 regardless of any of this stuff"
You would be hard pressed to find a bigger Forza fan than me and I'm not buying it. Forza is the only reason I would get an X1 at this time and I'm passing on it for the very reasons you mentioned along with MS and Turn 10 not supporting my existing FFB combo which cost me $1.2k.
This is NOT a true sequel to Forza 4 when you cut...
PS4 for me as well.
5 looks more detailed but it's not as much as a jump as I would've thought they would be able to do on next gen hardware.
Something has to stop in order for it to begin.

Here have a bubble
He's a bias fanatic and not a gamer because he feels the PS4 is more powerful than the XBOX ONE?
If what someone says on the internet takes away from your enjoyment maybe you should spend less time on the net or stop worrying what others think. There isn't a thing anyone says on the net that causes a wrinkle in my day.
"Do you not care about games like DR3, D4, Killer Instinct, Titanfall, Ryse, Forza, Project Spark?"
DR3 - nope
D4 - what's that?
KI - I'm one of the guys that has been clamoring for a new KI since MS acquired Rare. So yes I care about yeah but not in it's current form. It's being rushed to the market and doesn't appear to be done yet. Only 8 characters (less than when it launched nearly 20 years ago), still tweak...
"Is Forza 5 really 60fps, I wonder?"
I guess we will know in a couple weeks. At this point nothing would surprise me with the X1. But the past couple Forza games were smooth as silk. Than again this is new hardware.
I'm wondering if some of the pop up from the earlier build has been done away with.
I've been saying this since it premiered earlier this year. This is a very simplistic and clunky engine. There is nothing to it. I agree this falls completely on MS for going to Crytek and pulling the plug on it being a Kinect game for the 360 and trying to make it a launch game for the XBOX ONE.
It's impossible to make a complex combat engine in a rush. It takes years. I don't understand why they don't just push this game back and see if they can really turn ...
"Have you ever seen Forza 5 and Forza 4 against each other?
Just out of curiosity...
5 looks incredibly like 4 but with more gloss."
I couldn't agree more.
I watched the Bernese Alps side by side video several times over. I probably logged 100 hundred hours on that one track on Forza 4. Most of the differences are subtle. Forza 5 just looks slightly more detailed, lighten effects are different (not better but different) ...
The "Us vs Them" mentality is mostly a gaming site / youtube thing. Most of the gamers I know, regardless of age, could care less about it. I would wager that less than 5% of those that game mainstream give a hoot either way. I know is I could care less about it.
I just want the games, a kickass display and sound system, an internet connection, a room to myself with nobody interrupting me, and I'm golden.

Anything from MS?
Nope.
OH WELL
Can't beat free
The PS3 will once again break through the 100 million sold mark in the next couple years or less. I wouldn't be surprised if it sells over 120 million units when all is said and done. They will drop the price a few times over the next couple years that will help them get there.
That's the best thing about Sony. They support their hardware long after their new successor arrives.
Man you have a good memory. I don't remember the first game I played on the PS3 but I know what the last one will be, GT6. I will play that bad boy until GT7 is released.
Personally I think Sony should make this part of the marketing campaign. Inform your consumers that you have an edge over your direct competitor. It's makes good business sense.
It wouldn't be like they were lying or deceiving the public. It's the truth. If I was in Sony's position there is no way I would've deleted that tweet. Again, it's the truth. Inform your potential consumers Sony. Let them know you are offering more for less.

I don't think it's IW wanting to move on from COD since GHOST 2 has already been confirmed. That's 2 years away.
Maybe it's time Activision opens up the purse and invest in a newer engine for their top money making franchise.
"But it is the greatest driving game."
Agreed
"GT. Hasn't been as fun of a game or "simulator" as Forza"
Forza is more accessible than GT. Most people equate that to being more fun. I love both series. As far as being a simulator. I would have to disagree. When you turn all the assist off on Forza it's still fairly easy to drive IMO. Turn the assist off on GT and it's really hard to keep your vehicle on the track unless you are completely dialed in.
It took me a lot more t...
