1080p is significantly better than 720p.
Cleaner, sharper, better color separation, more detailed, less jaggies. Overall it's just a more visceral experience.

I watched every video pumping myself up even more for the PS4. It seems that almost every game is 1080p on the PS4. Second Son looks and moves amazing. That game is simply staggering. IMO it's the best looking next gen game I've seen thus far.

Maybe Forza 5 is 1080p because it has half the content and less features than Forza 4 had.

Forza 5 should've been called Forza Prologue.
Ironically enough Kinect is the driving force behind what steered me away from the X1. I want a gaming console that will offer me the best games with the best performance possible. Unlike MS, Sony didn't gimp their console to support their camera which was out before Kinect was even thought about on the PS2.
Also let us not forget that both Nintendo and Sony walked away from the company that built the technology for Kinect. Also both Sony and Nintendo know motion controls...
I know GT6 supports 5 panels but that is too much width for my gaming room. My triple 46" displays take up 9 feet in width. Besides I like to sit close to the center display. If you have 5 displays you have to sit further back.
65" is huge.
At least you're not in my boat. My wife indulges me just to get me out of her hair. The basement is all mine. Gym, theater and game room. She only comes down for the occasional movie in the theater. Other than that it's 99% mine.

GT6 is an absolute beast of a game. 70 tracks over 1000 cars, triple panel support and the best physics of any racer on a console. GT6 is the only reason I'm holding on to my PS3's and it's going to be the biggest reason my transition into next gen is going to be slower than any previous transition into a new generation of gaming.
I already played GT6, not the full version, and the differences are very noticeable right off the ...

This is a disturbing statement coming from Turn 10 regardless of how much optimization developers will be able to do over the years on the XBOX ONE.

I use triple panels (46" micro bezel displays).
The level of immersion is incredible with games that support multiple screens.
Obviously you have never played a game on multiple screens. The level of immersion on multi panels displays is hard to even put into words. It's THAT great! There is nothing like. The only thing that adds to that experience more while doing so is being on a motion activated rig with tactile feedback.

From what was reported yesterday from RGN, the X1 requires a mandatory install for their games. If this turns out to be true I would much rather buy a game, put the disc in the console and go right to gaming over waiting for it to fully install before I can play it.
