Exactly.
Which is why I'm going with the PS4 and not looking back. I refuse to pay more for less.
So it appears that the PS4 will be open ended (non proprietary hardware) just like the PS3. That means most likely any PC headset could possibly work on the PS4, along with FFB wheels (G25, G27, T500, etc) mice & keyboards, PC controllers, etc and so on.
Now I'm holding off on any upgrades until I get the PS4 in my home and start doing some testing of my own. Hopefully my Beyerdynamics MMX 300s will work on the PS4. I love that Sony doesn't try nickel and diming t...
November 14th at Midnight would make it 20 days. That's when I'm picking mine up. That cash register starts running at 12am. So 20 days and few seconds?
I'm picking mine up from Best Buy. It's only 2 miles from my home so I plan on having that bad boy unboxed and hooked up to my display by 12:20am. I will be gaming all night, morning, afternoon and into the next night. Sleep is over rated.
Thats ironic. A friend of mine said the same thing but for a different reason. He mostly gamed on the PS3 this past generation and told me because he can't stand the kids on XBL. Now he is worried they are going to jump ship and come to PSN. I told him no worries. Most of the younger crowd are COD fans and they will stick with MS. The adults with common sense will jump ship. I know I am.
Why is anyone surprised the graphics are dated? This is a really old engine and Activision is simply too cheap to start a new. This is what happens when you become complacent with a top selling franchise that the media gives a pass on with high marks which each and every sequel release. They are simply riding this into the ground with as minimal upgrades as possible.
I love COD for what it is, a fast twitch run and gun game that's easy to pick up and play. After seeing t...

"Yes this is great news for ps fans :-) AAA titles are coming soon."
What are you talking about?
I'm still playing a current brand new IP AAA title on PS hardware, The Last of Us. Killzone Shadow Fall looks AAA to me.
OT:
You know Sony is bringing the heat. I can't wait to see what they announce at the VGAs.
XBL - BoodyBandit = my account
Someone is a fanboy here, and a defensive one at that, but it's not me. You get called out on your links that don't prove a thing and you instantly go into the MFFF and name calling. Why so defensive? You mad bro? It's not our fault MS tried screwing their consumers. I don't own stocks in MS and they certainly aren't a part of my family. So I have no problem calling them out on their nonsense as well. I have no brand loyalty ...
But thrust, that's just it.
Most people that are buying an X1 out of the gate no questions asked are COD fans. I can't tell you how many people I have ran into or know of that mostly just play COD or purchased a 360 console just to play COD with their friends that are fans of the series.
Even my wife told me that she was shocked to hear some executives in her firm, guys in their 50's that nobody would ever think are gamers, talking about playing COD online...

You nailed it. There isn't a whole lot to add to what you already said. After 2 generations MS just doesn't get it. The path they have chosen with the X1 makes absolutely no sense to me. IMO they are 2 years late to the party with the direction they are headed with the X1.
They're building their console around and all in one box but most of the features they are offering already exist on practically everything like smart tv's, smart ph...

Those links you provided prove nothing about Sony ever directly saying they were even considering DRM. The vg247 link just shows 2 tweet responses of Sony execs being tweeted at about Sony consumer outrage over MS going DRM and telling Sony not to do the same.
The PS4daily link is nothing but assumptions and speculation that Sony decided not to go DRM after the outrage of consumers over MS's decision to go full DRM.
No where has So...
Release date isn't what gives Sony the advantage.
The price difference, more power, 1st and 2nd party support, indie support, non proprietary hardware (cheaper, more options and flexibility with FFB wheels, hard drives, mice and keyboards, controllers, headphones, etc and so on), no non friendly consumer restrictions ever implemented or in fear of being re implemented and proven track record of support of high quality games throughout the life cycle of their products is w...

Maybe the :D gives it away?
He was joking / being sarcastic
I'm not bilingual.
OMG the first thing I thought when I saw Phils pic was, "Sony stay classy. Don't comment on MS's readiness because it will only start controversy."
Then I remembered. A DUH, Phil left Sony ages ago. No lie though. I did forget and that's what I thought until I clicked on the article and was like oh now I remember.
Okay Phil. Carry on.
Never mind me. The coffee obviously didn't take, wasn't strong enough or I need plenty m...
That anybody here can say something negative about this man is a mystery.
None of us will be here in 100 years.
Most things as we know it wont matter in a 100 years.
Hell the planet might not be here in a 100 years.
Seriously, who cares?
We are on the dawn of a new generation of gaming and this is what IGN writes about. SMH
FPS games have always been really fun on all Playstation hardware. This new controller will only add to that experience.
My money is literally on Sony.
Not them having more preorders or selling more units overall. Personally I could care less about sales. I'm saying that most of my gaming budget will be spent on the PS4 over the next several years.
I favored MS hardware the past decade plus. Not anymore. I'm switching teams. After everything MS pulled, even though they rescinded most of those restrictions, they are still going full on proprietary hardware nickel and diming their...
OIC what you did there 0_o

Me too. I jumped ship and I'm not looking back. 11/15 just a little over 2 weeks away. Can't wait!
