Figured I had to clarify to those with a set of ( ) so there was no misinterpretation.
All the tracks in Forza are not real. Some are fantasy tracks. So yes, of course I, as a huge Forza fan, want them to have every track in the world and then MAKE UP a ton of new fantasy tracks. Fantasy tracks are some of the most fun tracks in the game. Besides, the more tracks the better!
Only 5 new areas is slightly disappointing. Especially if you consider they didn't add weather effects or new modes like Rally racing, etc.

Why give a site making a weak comparison like this hits? It is a really bad comparison comparing screenshots. Take the same car on the same track from each game, calibrate both systems to perfection and split the screen right down the middle. Anything but is a waste of time and a recipe for nonsense.

The only rivalry that exist is in these sites and some misguided fans, imagination. How can you have a rivalry when they are on two different consoles and target a different audience? You can't.
Both games are great at what they do. I don't get why everyone can't just leave it at that and let it be. Although, as big a Forza (and GT) fan that I am, Turn 10 were pretty arrogant with their whole definitive shtick before Forza 3 hit retail.

Pulling off great times with a pad is a breeze in Forza. It's doing it on a wheel that's the real challenge. This game nearly drives itself on a pad. I know, I feel like I'm cheating when I give my wheel a break.
I played the demo for four hours yesterday. I am trying to not play it anymore but it's hard. I want to wait for the actual game. If only Rage would've arrived today instead of tomorrow. Must resist.
It sure is pretty but it looks and appears to play so generic. It reminds me a ton of Doom type AI. I will know for sure tomorrow but this is why everyone should wait for the games to hit retail before hyping them to the stars and beyond.
Hopefully the story is better than some reviewers are reporting it to be.

The game does kind of have that Fallout meets Borderlands look to it. I will find out tomorrow for myself how it plays.

The overall average score for Rage right now is an 8. There is a chance it will stay low 8's or possibly even dip into the high 7 range.
I guess graphics alone really don't make the game anything special. I am surprised that Carmack, of all people, did not have a deep and compelling online component for his new baby.

Set driver difficulty to hard or if you dare, professional, than come back and say how easy it is or is not.
A lot of people play games like Forza with almost all driver assist settings enabled. The game drives itself when you do that. All you have to do is bury the pedal and steer like an arcade racer. I play with everything off except I don't have the clutch enabled. At least not yet. I have to adjust to the new physics first.

Maybe I am just being overly cynical or was expecting more from early reports. I still play Forza 3. I completed 4 endurance races just last week. I wont know for sure in the graphics upgrade until I play a track I know like Maple Valley, Road Atlanta or America.
It's hard for me to judge since it's a new area. It is a sexy area and track though. The buildings definitely look slick and the lighting engine is fantastic.

Man I was in such a hurry to jump into the game I didn't even realize Rival mode is available. That mode is a BLAST.

Another question. Early on I read that Turn was going to allow you to transfer some of your earned vehicles from Forza 3 to 4. Is that still going to be an option?
These graphics, other than car models, are not a significant step up from 3. What Turn did was make subtle changes to the backgrounds making them less static, increase detail on car models and dashboards while bumping up the poly count, and implement a nice light source engine.
BUT the physics engine is definitely improved. This handles different on my wheel than I am use to with Forza 2 and 3. It feels so much more realistic but I have only completed 10 laps. Headed back in...

16 cars is a welcome addition. Makes the game more challenging and harder to play on higher difficulty settings.
