Me too! I check Fanatecs site every day and this buyer's guide from ISR just made me want one all the more.
Did you see the new reasonably priced cockpit on the market, the rseat? They are like the playseat but without the center post. I already have two cockpits but I'm tempted. I need therapy or a wife that doesn't give into my every impulse. Well almost every impulse.....
And here my wife thinks I am for bonkers trying to get my hands on a sports car dashboard to mount my wheel and pedals to just so I can turn laps in Forza 4 and other racing games, but this, this is crazy.

Is anyone using Kinect for head tracking in Forza 4? If so, what are your thoughts?

Forza 4 is a fun and is coming from an overly cynical gamer. I go into every title expecting it to be more of the same meh. I went into Forza 4 thinking that very same thing. I wanted weather effects, night time, new modes of racing like Rally (dirt, snow, ice, etc), better wheel support (1 to 1 ratios, 900 degrees vs 270, etc) and MOST of all I was disappointed with Turn 10 supporting Kinect and the new Auto Vista mode BUT....
I preordered LE and the lame ass store didn't get it. Had to settle for standard version. My LE edition will arrive tomorrow. Needed 3 copies anyway for eyefinity.
Playing on one display for now. Just more to look forward too tomorrow.
Picked it up this morning. Already about to hit level 10. I like the subtle changes they made to all the existing tracks and the new lightening system is nice. I personally could do without the Robin Leech clone (Life styles of the rich and famous from back in a day) announcer but that is a small nitpicking gripe.
So far I am pretty impressed. This is no significant step forward but Turn 10 appears to have tweaked nearly every aspect of the game. Yes it would've been nice...

Personally I think Rage is visually the most impressive game on the 360. Not Gears 3, Forza 4 or the new Batman Akhamn City. Even though the story has some issues and there are some bugs and glitches in Rage, it's hands down the best looking game I've seen on the 360. The best part is it's all delivered to the gamer at a smooth 60fps.
And it's FREE!

I make the majority of my online purchases from newegg. I usually receive my purchases from them in 24 to 48 hours tops and they almost always have great deals going on.
I spend a ton of cash with them every year. Amazon offers some great deals and discounts but shipping is slow unless you choose their gold service but I don't want to be locked into any one service. Shopping around is your friend. Why lock yourself in?

Fanatec and Logitech use completely different gear types for their force feedback. The best part is Fanatec offers 3 wheels that works with the 360 as well as the PS3 and PC.

I agree that it is stupid Bathyj but a good wheel player will hang or surpass any pad player. A lot of my friends use pads to play Forza and I rarely ever lose to any of them. Unless I'm goofing off.
I just wish Turn 10 put more emphasis on wheel support and true 900 degrees of rotation without active auto steer.
Forza is built for pad users and not a wheel so the guy playing obviously is a rookie at best. In other words, it is easier to play with a pad than a wheel.
Most of the videos you see are from rookies or worse.
I am picking up F4 Tuesday. I am hoping it's an upgrade from 3 and not just something that feels and plays like an extension. I am getting mixed opinions from friends that already have the game. Guess I will find out for myself soon enough.

The sad part is you are being serious. Who in the hell cares about competitive shooters? I play games to escape reality and have a good time. Somebody needs to realize gaming is entertainment and suppose to be fun. I didn't realize we were being graded when we play games online. Who are these group of people that are grading us?

After completing the game all the way through, running into various bugs and glitches, weak story, bad ending, abysmal last mission, graphical issues, and what felt like a rush to the market once you reach halfway point of this game? I feel a 7 is justified.

I am wondering if these people even played Rage all the way through to it's conclusion. The game graphically and presentation might be a 9 or higher but the story, game design, bugs and glitches, swapping disc problems on the 360, save issues near the end of the title and the whole 2nd part of the game feels different than the first part, make it in no way of being worthy of a 9 or higher overall.

There is no way this is an intentional design and I have completed Rage on the 360 and ran into this problem. It is a bug in the save features of this game.
When you complete the final mission in this game it doesn't register as having been completed. When you continue the game after all the credits are done rolling, you are at the beginning of the final mission all over again.

Yeah CrzyFooL I found this out the hard way and I didn't create new saves, I kept over writing previous ones with newer saves. Now I am done the story missions and I can't get 100% completion unless I start the game over from scratch.
This is very irritating. The worst part is my mission log still tells me I have not completed the final story mission although I beat it twice already. There is no save feature after you complete the final story mission.

I currently own the Fanatec 911S (2 actually), the GT2 and Thrustmaster T500 but I would trade all of them in to get my hands on the new Fanatec CSR Elite. That wheel looks amazing.
I can't wait for Fanatec to start taking preorders. I check their site a few times per day. My GT2 will just have to make due till then I guess.
