so apparently 2.0 comes out tomorrow?
and am i the only one who thinks Jaffe's potential is wasted on psn games?
and i'll love it. cause a challenge is always a good thing
yeah, people who take off a day to play a video game are idiots.. whats so bad about waiting 6 hours for? you've waited several years, a few more hours is not much.
i don't really see much. aside from the billions of enemies, the graphics don't impress me that much. i hope that the sixaxis control is tight... as that will make or break this game.
the only thing that you mentioned that was good about halo was the health system. the graphics were as many mentioned, cartoony. halo did not bring fps back, it merely gave it new life on console. PC has had plenty of great fps since before halo and after it.
the original killzone was actually a really nice looking game because of the progressive layering of textures they used. however, the game was too great for the console, and the ps2 couldn't handle the calculations and...
this will be great. hopefully it'll exceed DMC3. so far, i see the "hand" as a gimmick.. hopefully i'm wrong
definitely looking forward to this... if its public, hopefully i can get in this time.. haha
unfortunately many people won't see it like that.. they're perfectly content with their rehashed content and prettier graphics
^^
but if they do start selling MGS music, i'll be happy to buy it. MGS2 opening theme is one of the best vg songs of all time
when compared to console games. but when its stood next to the pc giants, it doesn't hold a candle to any of them
team ico is a studio that isn't afraid to put time and money into a new idea. not only is their stuff engaging and fun, it takes existing principles, twists them, mixes them, and rehashes it into something completely new and great.
anything in the vein of ICO or SotC with that same atmosphere will be sheerly amazing. if they got so much out of the ps2, imagine what they could do with the ps3
it'll be decided by first party exclusives. if they're sequels, then they're sequels. but new original IPs coming from first or second party studios will be the deciding factor
Kasumi ftw...
can't deny team ninja knows what its doing/can make very good looking games...
talk about the actual article? its about liberation. killzone 2 is only mentioned once or twice.
a wise man once said: a person who has nothing productive to say shouldn't say it
anyways, i'm happy with liberation. it actually exceeded my expectations for the game.
if the developers put the time into it. a studio like konami knows cookiecutting games doesn't bode well with gamers.
hopefully they'll make it the best it can be
there is actually lag in fifa, DOA, Halo, but in those games, a 20-50 millisecond lag is acceptable. (especially in doa, with those 30 frame counter windows) but with virtua fighter, you have literally no time to counter.
especially when you count latency between consoles, it takes a while for a signal to go from new york to cali and back.
and i had the same thought as many others... why would someone from konami know about this?
but yeah, if they do remake this, i'll buy it, though many other rpgs have take elements and improved on it greatly..
people who play madden year in and year out probably don't understand the rush of a new Pro Evo (or winning eleven here in the states) game. because instead of a new roster and slightly better visuals, pro evo offers better gaming mechanics every year which makes it as almost realistic as playing real soccer.
my little quip with football: so what, almost half the US watches the superbowl. more than half the world watches the world cup..
yeah, halo was the first "standout" console shooter. but when compared to the giants of PC fps, it can't hold a candle. it can't match the speed and intensity of a UT or Quake III Arena match, and it can't match the skill of a CS 1.6 match
hmmm.. person who disagreed with the initial response and all of the reply people.. care to explain why you hit the button?
the fact that you can run game code inside home for virtual demos is great
