backgrounds could use a little work, but the character models are amazing.
but i do love the art direction. combat system looks very interesting too, but if that pause when you switch attacks is in the final version, thats kinda sucky

this holiday season, expect sales of HDTVs to skyrocket. they're finally affordable for the common person, and the quality is up there as well. when people go into stores and see the latest blu-ray or hd-dvd hookup, they'll be like, omfg, i can't use dvd any more. then they'll buy into one of the brands. and with price cuts and high quality titles coming to blu-ray, chances are they'll buy into that.
did the doughnuts, it was blatantly in game, because it looked too plasticy. also, the segment with the motorcycle wasn't that convincing. but the rest of it was good.

if the cutscenes are well made, i have no problem with that. take ffx for example. the cg cutscenes were AMAZING. so i had no problem watching them over and over again at the theater.
but yeah, as someone stated above, the other 20 hours better be kickass.. do you think they'll pull a xenosaga and put a savepoint in the middle of a cutscene? haha... i remember that happening to me, and i was like WTF?

from what i've read, i'm a little disappointed with o'Connor myself. he writes really good books, but his VG script is a little subpar. I immensely enjoyed The Fall of Reach and The Ghosts of Onyx, but it seems the plot he wrote for the game (if in fact he did write it) is a little dry in comparison.
supposedly onyx. at least thats what the mythos tells us. and Dr. Halsey and spartan IIs kelly and fred are inside, along with spartan iii's (can't remember their names at the moment). its purpose was to protect the forerunners from the halo when it went off.

i think co-op story is more fun than single player story, but i enjoy story mode a lot more than multiplayer mode normally.
the adventure part of it reminds me so much of ICO. heck, even the animations look the same. but then again, anything that reminds me of ICO is a great thing.
