i completely understand what you're saying. i haven't played it yet, but i have seen friends play it. (drunk, none the less)
so i don't really know how spacious everything is. but it does look pretty good, though not the best.
:-( someone debubbled me...
before you guys flame me, disagree, and remove my bubbles, this is what i initially garnered from that quote at the top of the page... it is in no way fact or truth, just my thoughts on it
it seems that bungie's engine couldn't run smoothly with postprocessing and HDR lighting in 720p. does it seem like that for anyone else?
"This ability to display a full range of HDR, combined with our advanced lighting, material and postprocessing engine, gives our sc...
the fact that you completely disregard the same argument can be made for ps3 shows how ignorant you are. take for example, orange box. valve by now is used to multicore processors because of its pc development background. so naturally, it uses nah 80% of system resources for 360. (its in some interview.) orange box for ps3 on the other hand, uses NONE of the SPEs, and relies only on the PPE.
what does that say about understanding system architecture/getting the most out of...
am i the only one who thinks those images posted are very underwhelming? it probably looks a lot better in motion. because just looking at those pics, i can say that AC5 looks better...
like, i remember the first time i saw AC5 screens in PSM, i was absolutely floored. no such effect here.
i don't really consider 360 x PC multiplatform. someone may flame me for this, but generally, if you make the game on one, you can get it to the other quite easily.
spoiler if you haven't read the books
does cortana find someway to circumvent the "life" of being an AI? it says somewhere in the books that AI's only have a lifespan of 5 years or something like that. if chief goes into hypersleep, for however long, doesn't that cut off a large chunk of her life?
and one more thing, how long is the timeline for the entire story? halo one took place in essentially 1 day right? halo 2 i'm not sure of, and halo 3 i de...
we were talking about piloting MGs in another story, if you could actually do it in this game, that'd be nasty, especially with a ZOE type control system.
i'm still hoping after Kojima's done with MGS, i'll focus on ZOE3 for ps3..
the e3 '06 trailer was almost all real time except when she jumped onto the train at the end. confirmed by the producer and director.
whats more impressive is the part where she's walking through the forest, because thats real time as well.
no crap.. it better look better than any previous game in the franchise.
second off, console exclusive games are almost always better than multiplatform games for the sole reason that they can optimize the game engine for that system.
many members of the original golden eye and perfect dark team quit rare. they founded their own studio called free radical..
hence why timessplitters has coveted many more awards than anything rare has put out recently
ANYONE who has watched an upconverted DVD and a true 1080p HD movie knows that there is a HUGE difference in picture quality.
i have both upconvert and blu-ray at my house (i'm at college right now), both hooked up to a sony sxrd via hdmi. there is a huge difference. the only people who probably can't tell the difference are those who don't have a 1080p tv larger than 50 inches
memories of lanning in a school computer lab without the teacher knowing are coming back...
i absolutely loved playing UT and Quake III: Arena.. absolutely twitch gameplay. there was a infinite difference between being good and being great at this game.... ahh, can't wait to play it on my 60" tv
btw, in halo 3, do you still run really slowly? when i first played the original halo, i was really surprised at how slow you ran. did they speed it up a little...
haha... thats great. too bad he doesn't actually die. (kinda) leave it to bungie not to have the balls to kill him off...
same can be said for mgs4. if snake doesn't die i'll be upset with kojima
i don't think anyone expected it to be the best game ever, but i expected it to be excellent
at one point, i actually thought about reserving this game... haha
Kuest, guess you weren't affluent with the gaming community back in '02.. haha it really was that long ago. it was supposed to be a syphlon filter-esque experience set in the starcraft universe. it was appealing to many people, including myself, because you got to fight against the zerg and 'toss
i can't wait to play this game either way... to be honest with you guys, do any of you think you'll pay much attention to the graphics when your'e lanning with a bunch of your friends? i think not.. as long as it retains the fun factor in multiplayer of halo 1, i'll be fine with it.
i didn't think that ffvii should have been an honorable mention, but it shouldn't have been #1. FFIII trumps FFVII in my book. i played VII first, then played III emulated on my mac a decade ago. and III holds a special place in my heart that VII doesn't.
i hope they include last order...
but yeah, definitely buying this one
lazy developers. you know its the truth too. its been stated by various people, developers and publishers.
and from what i read about mass effect (i haven't really been following it, so feel free to correct me if i'm wrong) while the game does span a universe, it essentially is a bunch of different planets, and thus levels. and going on what i've read about it, the planets are "cold and lifeless." kinda like oblivion, where textures were reused over and over.
was actually a great concept as an rpg. they just juiced the heck out of it and made everyone hate it
