i'll acquire the the soundtrack in some other manner... but i actually really like halo music. its not the best i've heard, but its definitely up there.
the menu theme had so much impact with the first halo, and anytime anyone hears it, they instantly connect it with Halo... - its that good.
does the 360 actually have any dedicated serves? or is it using the p2p network strategy used by live?
as mentioned by the people above me, Lair was a technical marvel. it could render HUGE landscapes with amazing detail. the reason why it was scored so low was because the control wasn't as precise as it should have been. i don't know if they'll switch to analog control eventual via a patch, but based on technology alone, it trumps almost every game out there.
i'm personally holding off until they patch it and allow use of the analog sticks.
seeing as i haven't played the demo, i'll give my impression of the INTRO MOVIE.
so, i laughed out loud at several parts of it. The graphics for the intro movie were excellent, but there was some "overlapping" of textures, noticeably the parachute pack and his arm. the dialog was fantastic. it seemed extremely natural the way they were talking. if they did remake it, i would be afraid they'd screw something up and it'd lose the feel of the original on SNES.
i believe they went after it because the item they were selling said "US only" or "japan only" and they were selling it everywhere, and thus violating some rule.
i don't believe that UT3 has a US only sticker on it..
because in current form, white engine is optimized for use with the ps3. they have no idea of any performance changes if they need to change platforms.

agreed. something personal is good, but after a while, anything personalized kind of loses its luster. like i have a pair of personalized soccer cleats which i used to keep in complete pristine condition, but after a while, i kind of didn't care any more and just played the heck out of them.

to be completely honest, i really hope the license ends. it was completely unfair for them to buy the title like that. i know its good economics, but we, the gamers, lose out on it. for 2 years, EA's shatted out a subpar game with numerous problems and if we want to play a football game, we're forced to buy it. (save 2k's offering)
granted, i don't play madden at all (soccer player for 11 years) but the vast majority of America deserves better..

to be completely honest, the madden 05 for a dollar deal is a great find. 05 was the last good madden before they started crapping out games..

honestly, i don't care what the liberals think. its great that he's spending time with wounded veterans. While they should have thought about the game, Bush is probably trying to send a signal that he's backing the war and even though he fought virtually, he's still fighting.
whether you agree or disagree with what he's done, you have to admit that he has shown pure dedication to what he has decided to do.
