if microsoft advertises as we get a crap load of dlc for this game, sony should advertise that they're getting a whole new exclusive game from R*
well, my interest in this game has plummeted after seeing this vid. the fact they opted for 3d art on a 2d plane also doesn't float my boat. give me high res 2d characters like GG.

yeah, the slow mo kind of turns me off from the game. i think its the adrenaline factor they were talking about earlier. still doesn't do it for me. lowers the cutting edge that separates good from great in this game.
plus the bullets seem to lag behind where you're shooting.
jason, you can download in the background and an hdmi cable costs 10 bucks online. while live is still superior to psn, being able to chat across games and send messages while in game does not warrant 50 bucks a year to me.
and you know as well as i do that if sony wanted to, they could firmware upgrade for BC, they just choose not to for some reason.
and as for sixaxis being an incomplete controller, its actually fully functional, regardless of how you lie to yours...
have fun downloading your real hd movies off some slow network. you know, not those shoddy ones that are for rent on live or apple tv. the real ones with real bitrates of 40mb/s. oh wait, the internet isn't fast enough for that yet and won't be for another half decade.

difference is, if blu-ray failed as a format, you can still use it to hold data, ie games. same with UMD. you can still use it to hold games. no games were made on hd-dvd, so when it failed as a movie format, all its cards were out.

the thing is, the sixaxis was not 200 bucks. games are still being made for the ps3, so you can use it with all future games too. no more hd-dvd ares being made.
and last time i checked, uncharted was the definitive next gen title. and oh look, my sixaxis works fine with it.
thats what i thought anyways. extra content for gta would be maybe another third party with more missions and more story. nothing like a new city or anything like that. another city would be another dvd worth of space, which most people don't have on their hdd.
they can't, but they can ask for donations which would be acquired through the tax.
oblivion reuses textures everywhere. same tree, same people etc (which i feel will be the case with GTA4) i have no idea how many ballparks or uniforms they're packing in, but its the only plausible thing thats causing this to happen.
i haven't played the game myself, but if someone who has can tell me if the only major problem after you got used to it was if the U-turn and some other control was messed up?
anyways, it might be worth a buy now that this patch is coming out. (lord knows there's enough used copies lying around) i haven't bought a new game since uncharted and i'm starved for one.
i'm pretty sure that that's all cg. if the real game is anything like that, i'll be shocked.

i'm wondering how you get "episodes" in an open world game. the most i can think of is additional missions and another third party to influence events. its not like half-life where you get a new set of levels.
plus i'm also wondering how big the download will be, because there could be potential space problems.
