concept art is usually much better than the finished product.. it allows for imagination to take free reign while the final product has lots of constrictions
its a shame to see him go. that image posted above is pretty cool.
but yeah, this is the "first year slump" sales, which happen with every console. its pretty easy to believe that next year will be even better (duh) because all the heavy hitters will land
to be honest, i saw that commercial and my roommate and i both started laughing. its about half a year to a year too late. and it wasn't even that good of a commercial.
i was surprised that sony didn't buy at least one commercial slot for ps3 though
i think its worth a rental. if the mechanics are pretty much the same as DMC3, i can wait to play it. (considering i can't even play it until probably the summer)
but at least the unforgiving difficulty is still there. playing on the harder modes in DMC3 is one of the greater gaming experiences i've had.
its great to hear about the idle workers indicator. lord knows how many times i've forgotten about scvs i've sent to build something and when the building was finished, it'd wander off somewhere because of space constraints, and lost track of it...
i guess that Thor losing AA ability is a good thing. it seemed like a very overpowered unit in that respect. however, terrans only have 1 or 2 air superiority units, especially since they're axing the goliath (i think, might be wron...
thats what i loved about google since the beginning. the front page has stayed the same. plus i like the iGoogle feature where everything i want is available at a glance.
Gorgon has it sort of right. they disabled one spu in the beginning of production to increase chip yields. 7 correctly made on the same chip vs 8 correctly made on the same chip, odds are much better with 7. then 1 out of the 7 is reserved for OS security and that like, and the other 6 are for processing purposes. you won't see the one disabled one become enabled, and you won't see the os protection spu being used for gaming.
however, 4 spu's working the way they're supposed ...
i seriously doubt you'll see any real world performance difference between 3.33 and 3.2.. is that extra 133mhz really worth the couple hundred more you'll end up paying?
for instance, the performance between the 2.0ghz macbook and the 2.2ghz macbook are negligible.
personally, i absolutely love apple's new thin aluminum keyboards. they're exactly like my macbook's, plus they're sexy as hell.
and yeah, i hated those old imb keyboards that clacked ridiculously loud. you could never use a computer at night without everyone in the house knowing.
yeah, the advertisement for this game was over the whazoo. i actually collected the mountain dew cans for a while. then i realized i could turn them in for money.. haha
its not really news.. i haven't used vista that much, but from my experience, leopard trumps it in every way shape and form. then again, most new OSes meet initial resistance when they're released.
plus you know something bad is going on when the vista basic disk includes all the features of ultimate, just locked behind some settings. i found out how to unlock them, and its surprisingly easy
because it'd be the equivalent of carrying around a hand grenade with you...
precision rifle was better. raildriver was too hard to use.

are they going to be perynin or however you spell them? powerful, cool, energy efficient
it looks like Lady matured 10 years.. still smoking though
i'll give you a hint about oregon trail. they don't make it..
you mean don't press the technology envelope? gotcha

not so much excited about the 120gb ps3 (cause i can swap my hdd) as i am for the DS3. hopefully they'll be on this side of the pacific soon.
