Right. Making decisions when you're totally clueless is the way to go.
What a fanboy. The Amiga > the Commo 64 version.
Origin is lacking, they're way behind the curve. They're still lacking the basics like achievements and user reviews/forums.
Because I've played all of their games and they all share the same problems?
Amateurs. My Steam backlog would put this list to shame.
They need to make this gamer harder. A lot harder. It's just way too easy to be an unstoppable juggernaut that render the vast amount of content meaningless.
For a game to look this good and run so smoothly is a huge technical achievement.
Ok ok. There's no need to scream.
Idiot reviewer. People play BF 3 for the multiplayer. No one is buying this game for the single player campaign.
Unless your name is CoD, releasing a shooter a week before BF3 is just asking for trouble.
The best gaming PC a year from now will still not be able to render a game like the Killzone 2 2005 trailer. It was pure BS and it set a lot of people up for disappointment regarding the PS3.
I agree that the best the nextgen can hope for at launch, is to match the PC's Witcher 2 and BF 3 on ultra.
Another completely useless comparison. The PC version in this vid looks like crap. I can't even see the texture details and pop that's in the PC from this video.
FAIL.
On the PC Battlefield 3 is the most visceral multiplayer shooter, ever. Nothing out there is ever as smooth, beautiful and full of mayhem as this game. It's the embodiment of a virtual gaming battlefield fully realized with all the trimmings.
Now having said that if you're playing this game for the single player campaign then you missed the point. It's a Hollywood primer for what you're about to do online, and it does that pretty well.
They should never have put big maps in the console version unless the system can handle 64 players. On the PC is where this game really comes alive, picture MAG with BF3's graphics and vehicles. It's like a virtual battlefield in all it's chaos and destruction unfolding in front of your eye. Jets dog fighting overhead, gunships zooming in and out blowing shit up, tanks circling objectives all the while infantries are cursing and fighting all over the damn map.

Its MAG and Heavenly Sword. Everything else is rated correctly.
I still think Crysis 2 looks pretty good. At least that game doesn't blind me with ridiculous HDR and an absurd amount of bloom. Seriously when people think BF 3 looks good, it's entirely because of the Hollywood lighting that fool you with realism under the right condition. The problem is that sometimes the flashing bloom and HRD lense flare is so bad that I can't see a damn thing.
Outside of the lighting the texture work is just decent. My benchmark for detail a...
Playing this on the PC in ultra. Pretty yes, amazing, no.
Maybe my standards are too high, being a PC elitist and all, but the game's visuals failed to impress. I would characterize the graphics as good, and not much more than that.
In other words. She's a gimmick we inserted to discourage rentals and resale. Well, now the cat is out of the bag so to speak. I'm renting this one knowing that I won't miss a thing.
Guess what, gaming isn't a vaccum where other platforms doesn't exist. If you do not like to hear about the short comings of your particular version then only buy exclusives.
Wait...what!? How is it that you only paid $9?
