It's probably Dice way of saying "I'm tired of developing games with a 512 MB memory budget.".

Definitely put Doom 4 on hold. First, cut Carmack out of the loop. The guy is a has been, a relic, that lead iD on a five years technological goose chase that resulted in this hilariously bad Tech 5 engine. That's the problem with having a gaming legend leading your team. His fame and influence is so great that no one have the balls to point out his hubris.

LOL this game is made by Slant Six, everything they do end in tears. According to the IGN gameplay preview this game looks like Socom, with zombies.

If you want to be like Steam then you have to match their prices. The problem with Origin is that their prices are mostly no better than retail.

Pick a damn platform and stick with it, making it available for both would just split the community and cause more patching complications.
Is it that hard to image? Just look at the same game on the PC today with a mod here and there installed and BAM, you're transported to a future earth where the Xbox 720 is out and you're playing Skyrim in "HD".
