is sony previously saying that the digital download era will begin after the ps3, in the next-next gen I guess. and here MS is starting it now.
I truly hope this makes HDDVD and BLU-RAY for movies completely useless and teaches toshiba and sony a lesson.
as kaz ays, their is no ps3 online, it's a "philosiphy".
:)
and if the only improvement they have made is to add an online store for sony stuff, then that's busted.
I hope they can update it with a unified friends list, and add some of the other feature that XBL has. Then MS will have to drop their price to compete, but from what I have seen so far, MS is pretty safe in continuing to charge, although they may have to drop it a little.
who would have though that a news piece like this would bring about such dribble? /sarcasm
that was freaking funny:)
especially in europe, the launch there will be the smoothest in years...oh wait a minute...
I think if you are rating them from a gamers point of view, these are pretty good.
if you look at what else the systems do, then you can make other arguments. but undeniably, the 360 will have the most games available, and system availability will be a key as well.
I guess that explains the ad on play b3yond with the clock melting...
the head stomp is awesome. I can't wait to do that to people online. TOTAL PWNAGE!!!!!
sony just seems to have ignored the consumer. ps2 fans said they wanted this when they saw live, so sony had 4-5 years to get it ready, and yet it is not.
it would be tough to do on a 20 gig drive...unless there was a larger drive...hmmm ,oh but wait, MS is denying that too.
I just wish I had the option, sometimes utter chaos is fun. but I understand the tactical point, and that makes sense.
not having a universal buddy system is what most complained about with ps2's online service. I am starting to wonder if sony even listens...
on a plus side 40 people in multiplayer would be awesome.
I too was dissapointed when GOW was only 8, I mean halo 2 on the original xbox could get 16, battlefield 2 has 24, as does COD3, so I expected at least that. I will still buy it, and will still have tons of fun, but it had better be more people for GOW2:)
he's right on, as smart as they can make AI in game, it will never be as good as playing another human(well, except the dumb humans), and this holds true in all games.
and he already said he is going to try it. relax man:)
there were a few non-modded 360's that were affected, but a LOT in the modding community that were affected.
I believe the update was a shot at modders(at least to help MS identify them if nothing else) and the few that were affected that were not modded were more a "coincidence".
anyway, mine works fine. and I like it, just makes the blades a bit more convenient. I like that MS seems to be listening to suggestions that people are making.
good article, brought up some great points that sony should listen to.
unfortunately with it being at team xbox site, it will not likely get the attention it deserves, and will likely just be attributed to "some xbox fanboy"
it's not a non issue, this means that if someone with the 500$ system does this, they can only be playing 3-4 games before having to delete that space to play another game.
that is annoying, and a big downside in my book.
yeah, and your opinion is about as unbiased opinion as marts.
and I'm sure every single game on the ps3 will be a must have/AAA title right? have fun fighting giant crabs.
there will be gems and stinkers on both systems, get over it.
you must be right, the countless developers saying the exact same thing must know less than you.
that's almost the cost of xbox live:)
I think the speed of broadband we have is fast enough. I mean I'm using a 6 meg service right now, my provider is launching an 18 meg service soon, so I don't see that being an issue.
However MS will need more bandwidth to allow people to DL movies a lot quicker, as the current XBL is not fast enough to make this a seamless experience. and I think they talked about that issue, I am excited at the possibilities of this though, it will be interesting to see how it lpays out in t...
