A $250 PSP2 would definitely be a great competitor to the 3DS. A lot more tech in a lot better device for the exact same price. Plus, it's got online anywhere capabilities (if you get 3G model).
Imagine playing Call of Duty online ANYWHERE! Screaming at some 10 year old kid who just noobtubed you while you're riding the train home from work. haha
Call of Duty is gonna be the PSP2's killer app. (I won't buy it, but it will sell like cra...
Exactly what I was gonna say. They were referring to third party exclusives. Of course, that's a bit ironic too since the PS3 has a few of those coming too. haha
Finally, someone who understands it. haha I wish I was capable of buying all the exclusives out this year. It's just not possible with all my bills, but I would if I could.
Well said, man. Well said. While, I do strongly support PS3 exclusives, there are tons of great third party titles out there that are good too. That's what it's all about: The games. (<-in the words of Kevin Butler. haha)
PSN: blumatt
I don't think people hacking the PSN and people hacking the Kinect is comparable. One is the device's network which it relies on for connectivity and one is just a peripheral. \
BTW, guys, I guess I'm gonna have to make a new account since people decided to take my third bubble away yesterday. What should my new account name be???? Any ideas??? The mods are too harsh on this website.
They rely on those three big games and that's it. Well, now there's Kinect that will appeal to the millions of casuals, but still.
And there's that Kingdoms game from Crytek that's supposed to come out. But other than that, the 360 really and truly relies on third party devs and its Xbox Live service to keep it afloat.
Xbox Live and all its popularity among gamers is what keeps people flocking to the system. People are like "Let's...
You have less bubbles than me, buddy. I'm sure there's a reason for that. What I said is true. Please tell me what new exclusive IPs are releasing for the 360 this year or next. Tell me, please.
Yeah some new exclusives would be a better announcement. I have a strong feeling though, MS's big announcement is going to be a Halo 1 remake. That's not a bad thing, though, I guess, since there's plenty of Halo fans who'll eat that S@$% up. haha
You can guarantee there'll be a new Halo, Gears, and Fable game each year for the next five years, but new IPs are few and far between. The core gamers have spoken, and they want more core exclusive games. ...
I wonder if they'll make it work for God of War, so in the sex scenes, Kratos says,"Go away, you're lettin all the stank out!" hahaha Yes, that's a Family Guy reference.
Yeah, but a $200 would definitely move some units. I'd get a second PS3 for the living room. Lots of people would pick one up, if nothing else, but for the bluray functionality and the occasional gaming. And the hardcore 360 folk might even jump in (haha jump in lol) and get a PS3 finally. At $200, I'd also buy one for my cousin. He's into baseball, so I'd get him a PS3 and MLB The Show '11.
Yeah, I hope it becomes more common for PS3 versions of games to receive free games on the same bluray since most of the time the space on the bluray is left empty. Might as well give us more content on the disc for free. It'd be cool if the next GTA game came with all the PS2 GTAs on the same bluray disc as the PS3 version of GT5. I'd kill for something like that.
oh ok. That's what I thought. Yeah, I think all games should have trophies/achievements.
I said it has peaked graphically. Obviously, casual gamers that buy Kinect aren't going to care about graphics, so of course they'll still buy a 360 just for the Kinect. lol
@ Hiredhelp
Thank you. I wasn't trying to troll. I was trying to make a point. The 360 needs a price cut more than the PS3. A more attractive price point is what has kept the 360 in the lead position this whole generation. Well, that and Xbox Live. I guarantee that ...
I'm pretty sure he means that the 360 is closer to the end of its lifecycle than the PS3. It has reached its peak, more or less. There's not much more it can do, graphically or otherwise. It's at its performance ceiling. The PS3, however, still has a ways to go, but is getting close to its peak too. Games like Uncharted 3 and InFamous 2, however, seem to be showing that the PS3 still has more performance to be wrung from it.
I'd say expect a new 360 co...
Don't PSN games have trophies? j/w
If Sony announces the PS3 is going to get price-dropped to $200 and $250 for the higher harddrive model, then, PS3's are going to skyrocket in sales. With all the exclusive and 3rd party games coming out for it this year, and a more attractive price point, PS3 would overtake the 360 easily.
Also, if the PSP2 is announced to be $250, then the 3DS will have some serious competition too.
Sony has stepped up lately when it comes to smart business moves and t...
If the PSP2 is priced the same as the 3DS, then Nintendo will have some serious competition. I'll get one at that price, for sure.
Wow. This game is looking good! I want this game, KZ3, and Uncharted 3 this year and I'll be happy! (I also want The Last Guardian and FF Versus 13 too if they come out this year.)
"yes, but it sure debunk the claim that Blue-ray help increase gameplay time and better graphics, because it doesn't."
Umm, just because developers don't choose to make longer games with the bluray, doesn't mean that the bluray can't help make longer games. lol It's up to the developers. Just wait for Final Fantasy Versus 13 and we'll see how long that game is compared to FF 13.
A $200 PS3 would really cause a stir in the industry. A huge lineup of games plus an irresistible price would do wonders for Sony. Of course, I'm sure MS would counter it with a $99 stripper model 360 that people would fall for and get instead. haha Hopefully not, though.
Be gentle guys. I have but two bubbles left thanks to the mods, who are waaaay too harsh on this site. Actually, I could care less, cause even though I've been using this account for 2 years ...
