I just hope Activision doesn't make them make a new Halo game each and every year, thus saturating the market with Halo, like CoD has become.
Yeah, you gotta hand it to Sony for financing large niche titles like this and The Last Guardian. Sony takes chances with original IPs that other game companies would never do.
I'm pretty sure when the Cloud Save feature comes, it'll be just for PS+ users, at least initially.
This game is going to be awesome. I can't wait for it and I really can't wait for the ICO/SoTC HD Collection this year either. After four years of working on it, I can't wait to see how well they utilize the PS3's assets.
I'd say the majority of old games are still available somewhere used at a game store or online (amazon or ebay). People should check these locations first to see if they can purchase them. THEN, I'd say emulators would be their only option. Again, consumers should at least make a conscious effort to purchase their games before relying on emulation.
Umm, Sony also has a HUGE first party and second party studio backing. They have TONS of Intellectual Properties at their disposal. Sony could also survive off from JUST first party games if they had to. There is, however, another gaming manufacturer that COULD NOT only survive from first party games. I'll let you guess which one that is.
Exclusives sell platforms and drive consumer interest toward a particular platform over another one. That concept is NOT going awa...
Yeah it's a bunch of crap that they called that trolling. I was being informative. Anyway, thanks for the Well Said. Here, you have one too, man.
I SERIOUSLY wish they would bring back the Open Zone so we could have discussions worry-free about losing bubbles for stating our opinions.
BRING BACK THE OPEN ZONE, mods!!
I CANNOT wait for this game!! InFamous 1 was a great game. The graphics weren't super great, but they were definitely better than average. The gameplay was sorta repetitive but it was still very fun.
This sequel looks like they've upped the ante in every possible way. The graphics have been much improved upon, as well as the gameplay. I'm hoping for Move support, personally.

BTW,I just noticed that ...
I think before the PS4 comes out, both first and third party devs. will have been able to squeeze every drop of power from the PS3 and use it in an efficient enough manner to deliver 1080p games on a more frequent basis.
----------------------------- --------
I expect the PS4 to deliver 1080p 60fps standard, even for third party games, which will be nice. I fully expect Sony to go the NGP route with the PS4, meaning that it will be made MUCH easier to code for, meaning third ...
I can't wait for Battlefield 3!! The first Battlefield game I ever played was Bad Company 1 and then I bought Bad Company 2 awhile back. It's miles ahead of the CoD series! The realism is welcomed. I love how the bullets actually drop with distance, unlike CoD.
Battlefield 3 will be one of the few multiplats I buy this year. I only buy quality games, which usually consist of Sony exclusives, but a few multiplats make the cut like Battlefield.
I can't wait to get one, so long as it's priced $300 or less, that is. lol It's going to be the most powerful and most versatile portable ever made.
Online multiplayer is NOT needed for a game to be great. Regardless of what some people would say this generation, single player experiences aren't going anywhere anytime soon.
And, personally, I've grown tired of online multiplayer lately. I'll hop on some KZ3 multiplayer or some CoD4 Team Deathmatch every once in awhile, but not that often. I've been a single player guy the last couple months.
Looks like Sony is serious about this whole Play.Create.Share thing!! This adds almost infinite replayability to games. Yay for more FREE levels.
I wish CoD would introduce user-created maps instead of making us pay a ridiculous $15 for 5 maps. lol
@kneon
Yeah, but one can wish, right? haha I'm done with CoD anyway, so it won't affect me either way. (I will admit that I still like CoD4, since it's the only one I haven't traded ...
Well Said!! Anyone who wants a 3DS or PSP2 are going to people who had a DS and/or a PSP1. The market hasn't just magically disappeared just because people are increasingly buying cheap cell phone games. lol
Me too. I'm waiting for them to say $300 or less and I'm in. lol
The MLB: The Show series is such a great franchise. I can't wait to play the 2011 game. I kinda wish Sony would take on basketball and football too with their own exclusive games, making the ultimate sports games trio.
I think the guys who make this game could do just as good a job on a basketball and football game too.
I bought Modnation Racers when it first came out, but sadly traded it in for something else. I might pick this up again. Such a fun game.
The question this post asks is an objective question, not subjective, so being broke or not, it asks if the device is priced too high. There's people who have too much money and blow it, and then there's wise consumers who weight the cost-benefit of their purchases and see if the product is worth the asking price, regardless of how much disposable income they have.
@FLOWcity
Actually, intelligent people like myself have no problem understanding it, but a monk...
Yeah, that price seems more reasonable to me. $150 is just a bit much. Really, $50 sounds about right. At $50, MS wouldn't be able to keep them in stock. lol People would be buying them up like crazy.
Oh, I see. I didn't realize that. I just know how Activision likes to whore franchises out. (i.e., Guitar Hero, CoD, etc.)
