Man I'd love another manhunt too but I don't think it'll ever happen. There was so much controversy surrounding those games I don't know if R* would take the risk. The media would have a field day with an ultra realistic manhunt game. Although hatred seemed to come and go without much of a circus so who knows. Either way, a new manhunt, warriors, gta or successor to rdr would all be a win win.
I know this isn't supposed to be GT7 and there's still months of development time left before it releases, but this is really disappointing. I don't care about the odd horrible texture or graphical flaw here and there as they can be easily fixed. But 20 years of GT and we're still seeing cars bounce off walls with absolutely no damage?? What exactly have polyphony been doing all this time?? Making 1000 "scenes" for a photo mode. I won't be buying a GT game to ta...
@Septic: Seeing "premium cars" bums me out too. I'm keeping my expectations in check for this. The series doesn't seem to have evolved since GT3, apart from graphically and physics wise. GT will be 20 years old next year and we still don't have a proper damage model. The sound engine needs a complete overhaul too. GT5 was a major let down and I worry this will be the same again just with a new lick of paint.
GTA V is out 2 and 1/2 years now. Definitely not going to happen now. Anyway, would you really want single player DLC for it at this stage?? It's probably in my top 10 games of all time but it's time to move on. I'm all for remasters too but I really hope that's not what the "exciting announcements" are going to be. Announcing GTA VI and the successor to RDR would definitely be exciting though.
I kinda wish I hadn't seen any vids of the chase beforehand. That whole scene is probably my favorite 20 or so minutes in gaming history since I first picked up an atari 2600 joystick. I had a smile from ear to ear the whole way through it. Would've been nice going into that and not knowing what was coming. But hey, we do these things to ourselves.
@ nX: Man, I never even thought of the modifiers!! Yep, that would've saved me a lot of heartache and I'd probably have more hair now!!! I can't remember exactly but I think all I have left to do now is just one encounter and then the last fight so I think I'll suffer out the rest of the game without them now.
@TRS_Gear: Yeah, there are areas in the game that you can't use stealth at all as enemies are aware of you from the off. Averys mansion was tough. The biggest problem on Crushing is the lack of ammo. You can't dig in somewhere and just pick everyone off as you'll run dry after taking out a couple of guys and have to move out to get ammo. The area before that I took everyone out stealth so there was lots of ammo around and I had a fully stocked grenade launcher and 6 rounds in that...
Agreed Chillstep. TLOU is probably my favourite game of all time but having the same animation for every stealth kill really bugs me.
I'm nearly finished my second playthrough of Uncharted 4 on crushing and you HAVE to use stealth to take out as many guys as you can or you'll just get your ass handed to you. I've cleared out entire areas without being detected so the stealth route seems to be working for me anyway. Although it's not as fun as going in guns blazing!!
You definitely got your money's worth anyway :D I think I've finished it maybe 5 times. The last time on grounded mode which nearly broke me. After finishing uncharted it made me really want to go back and play it again. I've started uncharted on crushing now. When I finish that I'm going to go through TLOU again. I'll eat my underpants if there's an announcement at E3 for a sequel.
@naruga: Agreed, they were definitely enjoyable games for that time. I just think that in the time since those games were released the industry has matured quite a lot, and so have the players that have been gaming since Crash first appeared. I finished Uncharted 4 last night (and I literally just turned on the PS4 to start all over again!!) and the game is absolutely amazing. I'd much rather have Naughty Dog put time and resources into games like Uncharted and TLOU, rather than taking a...
Why is everyone losing their minds over a Crash announcement?? I know I'm in the minority so I'll get tonnes of disagrees here, but I think everyone needs to take off their nostalgia glasses. Yes, they were enjoyable games at the time but weren't anything ground breaking.
Of course they care if people stopped playing it months after it released. It may have sold boat loads but the thing is, if they release the next instalment with as little content/without going back to what made the first games so good they're not going to sell half as many copies. You can be sure they're paying attention to the community because people just won't buy the next game if it's just a rehash.
It literally just popped into my head last week that I never pre ordered uncharted and they mightn't have any left on Tuesday!! That's good to know it's just India. There's usually more than enough copies these days anyway. I went to the midnight launch of GTA V at my local gamestop without a pre order and got a copy no problem. Considering there's only a fraction of PS4's out there compared to how many PS3/360's there was at the time that launched, it shouldn'...
Brown paper bags.
I remember at the beginning of the last generation PS3/360 games were about €45 -€50 here in Ireland. Prices slowly started creeping up over the lifespan of those consoles and now it's usually around €70 for a PS4/X1 game. Prices are getting out of control.
I don't think anything comes close to GTA V, for me anyway. The attention to detail in Los Santos is mind boggling. Even when going to the bottom of the ocean.
Capcom need to take their heads out of their ass. This doesn't solve the problem at all. They also said matchmaking would be faster, but here I am, looking at my phone waiting for games as per usual. And still no stats and wrong information on fighter id. I'm nearly done with this game.
Ubisoft release videos of their games. Game releases and looks considerably worse than the earlier videos. Everyone loses their minds.
Coalition release a beta. Say the game will look considerably better on release. Everyone still loses their minds.
A couple of small moments that just pop into my head. In the rooms at the bottom of the cistern where the model for libertalia was. The wet ground and how the light reacts to everything is just ridiculous. Then near the end of the game heading towards Averys ship there's a couple of moments crawling through caves that you could easily mistake for real life. The lighting is phenomenal.
