You'd imagine it wouldn't have cost that much at all considering most of the ground work was done with the first game.

I just can't understand how as publishers, EA can be so clueless. All they have to do is just look at the Dead Space sales. The one game of that franchise that they interfered with performed the worst sales wise. It's just mind boggling that they see these studios with so much talent, let them do what they want, see great success, and then go in and fuck it all up by telling them what they think they should be doing!! From a business stand point, it's just completely moronic!! DS ...

Septic, I'm no fanboy, nor do I have allegiance to any brand. In fact, I see quite a few issues with GT:S which I've commented about in different articles. I was just merely pointing out that no one will take what you say seriously when you call them "brah."

I wouldn't expect anyone to take what you say seriously when you refer to someone as "brah."

I was so hyped for this game. I really thought EA had redeemed themselves when they announced all future content would be free. Should've known there'd be some hideous, disgusting catch.

Thekhurg, watch this video and tell me again that this isn't a bullshit progression system and everyone is complaining about nothing:

I don't see why having an FIA licence would restrict them from having a full damage model? They've been using this "deal" excuse since GT1. The damage in GT is miniscule compared to other racers. Even just taking PC2 for example, the cars can be completely wrecked cosmetically, compared to an odd dent and some scraped paint in GT. I fail to see how the car companies seem to have no problem with their cars getting wrecked in one franchise but not another. It doesn't make ...

@Aspiring: We hear this with every iteration of GT yet there's plenty of other racers with the same vehicle roster as GT that have full on damage models. Go figure.

@shaun: If you don't spend any of your points on any other characters you should easily get a hero/villain at least once, maybe twice per round. If you have fully upgraded heros/villains I'd imagine you could respawn every time as one as you'll easily rack up enough points again per spawn.

The Kurg: It's not just cosmetic items in loot boxes. There's Star cards and also the currency (can't remember what it's called) that you need to upgrade weapons and cards too. Players with fully upgraded weapons and Star cards will have a very noticeable advantage over those that don't.

I bought a Logitech wheel with GT3 when it released and it's been up in the attic for years. I've always been meaning to pull it out to see if it works. I guess there's no way in hell it'll work with the PS4 then??

They should have a back-of-the-box warning.

"Contains retarded, scumbag, bullshit loot box mechanic 🖕."

I've come across quite a few people that strategically hung back right behind me for the whole race and then gave me a nice little shunt on the last corner. I know they have the SR rating but that's not always going to be effective as the penalty system seems to punish you whatever kind of contact happens with another car, whether your own fault or not. I wish they would add a blacklist system that you could report players acting like that.

I think even vanilla it still holds it's own. Compare it to a game like just cause 3 which is current gen (and runs like absolute crap on consoles.)

Agreed, MP games should always be a level playing field. While I don't necessarily mind the idea of Star cards as they are basically like COD perks, but at least in COD it didn't take forever to unlock them and they were all available to everyone. The whole concept of loot boxes just stinks anyway and I really hope devs are listening to the community and taking note.

I'm on the fence. I was hoping they'd take the operations idea from battlefield 1, and they have, but it's watered down. Might wait for some reviews on this one.

@Pumblechook: Disregarding bias, the daily star is a tabloid. I don't know why any articles get approved from them. They're not "gaming journalists." They probably just picked the first guy from the i.t. department they saw, thought he must be a bit of a nerd and stuck him on the gaming column. Hardly a reputable source for gaming news.

But you have 3 different iterations of the 458!! Typical GT.

3099d ago 4 agree8 disagreeView comment

True, there really hasn't been any hype created around the game from the publishers.
