They also didn't mention the fact you're awarded 20,000 credits on completion of the single player campaign, but since they dropped the hero price by 75% they've also dropped the single player award by 75% too, down to 5,000 credits!! How scummy!! I really can't understand why you're defending this. Are you an EA employee??

They haven't fixed anything. Even their decision to slash in game prices of items seems to be more smoke and mirrors. Quoted from a recent provisional review:

"...each Battlefront 2 player will be awarded with 20,000 Credits upon completion of the game’s campaign. It’s not enough to buy Luke Skywalker (Editor: Well, it is now — but who knows if that 20,000 Credit reward will remain intact. Update: EA has confirmed the reward has been reduced to 5,000 Credits" ...

Unbelievable. Just unbelievable. They're still trying to squirm out of the situation.

@Morganfell: What demands have they met exactly?? They've just taken their shitty system and made it ever so slightly less shitty. It's still shitty.

I don't think it really matters at this stage and it's more about the principle. EA handled the whole situation very badly too. Even after slashing hero prices by 75% it's still going to be an unrealistic grind to unlock absolutely everything in the game. I don't think it's enough. EA just shouldn't have gone with this system in the first place. It's pure greed and it backfired badly.

It has a lot more downvotes now. Even if half the people that voted were potential sales and they're not now, that's a considerable chunk they've lost. I just really hope people stick to this and do ultimately vote with their wallets, don't buy and send a clear message.

They've lost a sale here too. Locking everything behind either a paywall or an unrealistic grind was enough, but how the publishers/devs are responding to the negative criticism has most certainly put the final nail in the coffin for me. They're really not handling this well at all and are coming across almost child like. It's actually a bit bizarre how they've reacted to the situation. Absolutely no tact what so ever!!

And unbelievably there's still people that are defending this.

Then they give them the Mammoth task of working on 2 huge projects simultaneously, will interfere with development by forcing a complete restructure in the game to include mt's and will probably want both ready for release by this time next year. See ya Respawn!!!

Ha!! Ok EDMIX, you clearly haven't thought about how long these things take to acquire in game so have fun grinding for 100 hours at a time just to unlock/upgrade a single weapon or star card, while you're constantly getting your ass handed to you by some 12 year old that bought everything with his mother's credit card. Sounds fun!!!!! I can't believe you're actually defending this shit!

@Chris, so basically what you just said is that the majority of gamers actually want to get ripped off?? The majority of gamers actually want a f2p model in a full retail priced game?? Oooohhhkkaaaayyyyy 👍

I'm so pissed off. Being a huge Star Wars fan this is just so disappointing. I really thought EA turned a corner announcing all future content for free. Even after the massive backlash from the beta they straight out lie that for full release everything would be balanced fairly. They haven't changed ANYTHING from the beta. It's still tempting for me to get just because it's Star Wars, but I can't support this and I hope no one else does. Using a free to play model in a €70...

Agreed. I know it pretty much opens instantaneously from the PS app, but I still can't understand why messaging couldn't be integrated through the main app. I'm not really feeling the layout of the update either. I think it was fine the way it was.

Well, if you watch this maybe you'll understand exactly why it's getting all that hate. If they haven't balanced the progression system since the beta, then good luck going up against an invincible Boba Fett that someone just paid for.

Different strokes for different folks. Perfectly fine if a game doesn't click for you. Have to admit HZD was a bit of a slow burner for me too. The first few hours in, I thought it was ok but then the story unraveled a bit more and missions got more interesting and it completely hooked me. One of my favourite games this gen. I'd probably have given it more than 6 hours or so. The game really only gets going after that.

Have it pre-ordered too. Is it already available to download??

You can't really compare Gears or Soldier of Fortune to TLOU though. Not taking anything away from those games, but violence is depicted very differently. Gears has very over the top, exaggerated violence where as TLOU is very gritty and realistic, and it strikes more of a chord when it's portrayed that way. Having said that, I still think it's absolutely fine. As they said, it's a game for adults made by adults and I'm glad they're standing by that. If somebody is off...

Well, there has been a considerable controversy over it so they had to do something. I still don't think they'll do enough though.

Yes, living in a world where tribes are killing each other, being hunted by huge mech creatures constantly and there's an ever impending apocalypse, someone really should think about the shampoo!! What a glaring plot hole that no one has thought of making shampoo a priority!! Who hired these writers?!?! They should all be fired!!!
