Don't try and market a Bluray player as a video games console. Bluray made up $200 dollars of the PS3s price at launch. A $600 price point is rediculous for a video games machine. That is almost half of my house payment.The majority of people that bought PS2 bought it when it was cheap. For the first few years of PS3s life it will always be roughly twice the price of the competition. Which equals the number three spot for Sony. To the average Joe Shmoe price and games are number 1. I think that the number one reason the 360 is better is that it delivers on its promises. I never heard the outrageous lies of 120 frames per second, 4D, SGI movie like graphics. Next gen starts when PS3 says it does......and imagine that, it is a games machine and has......you guessed it....games. PS3 is a good cheap Bluray player .....games would have been nice though.
You are a tool. First of all the cell processor in the PS3 is not the same one that is used in PCs. It is a stripped down pile of poo. Do you really think you can get a supercomputer for $600? The architecture of the PS3 cpu is designed for data streaming in parallel(SPUs) for video and audio codecs............Translation to play Bluray movies. Game code is full of numerous branching paths that the cell sucks at. Not to mention it is crippled by not having enough bandwith. So yes it ca...

is missing the real point here.. With the PS3s supposed "power" this game should blow away the 360 version especially with almost a year to improve upon it. The cell is pile of poo for games and it is really starting to show. Instead of improving things for the PS3 version, they needed almost a full year to get the code to even run in an efficient way..
Why should programmers have to change the way they have been coding for over 20 years just bc the PS3 architecture...
would you buy a game console to wait for games. Don't you want to play games. It's like ordering food at a drive thru and paying.....but then when you get to the window to pick it up they tell you to come and pick it up in a year.

gotta agree with you Mart at $199 especially before Christmas and with all the games being released this winter pretty much could spell doom for Sony. How can Sony possibly compete with a $199 starting price. Oh well Sony will always have their Hi def movies..............

about saving the PS3? Maybe if they would actually make games for it and not make it twice the price of other systems it wouldn't have these problems. It really isn't rocket science. I never saw any save the Dreamcast or 3DO or NEO GEO rants. This is becoming rediculous.

I can't wait Bioware is slowly becoming my favorite developer for RPGs. KOTOR was fantastic as well as Jade Empire. I don't know if most people realize that KOTOR2 was actually made by Obsidian and not Bioware.

is the worst 3rd party publisher in the industry. Same game every year with a new cover thrown on the box. Looks like 2K finally found their loophole to make a football game again. I say good put Madden where it deserves to be....in the 5hitter...
On a side note if you do like or buy EA sports games I doubt your integrity to judge what a good game really is........Madden has been the exact same game since 2000 as well as all their other copy and paste franchises
