of the World would incorporate Japan's close minded views of the console wars. Without sales in the Western world Japan's market would crumble. Capcom anounced that 80% of their software sales were made outside of Japan. That is why they have adopted a multiplatform strategy. Not saying anything bad about the Japanese in particular, just that they stick with what they know.
Microsoft has gone above and beyond to cater to this demographic of people. I honestly believe even ...
Japanese stick with what they know. Hec even the Dreamcast and Saturn were successes in Japan. I give credit to Microsoft for doing their best to break into the market in Japan with the 360. They really are releasing a lot of Japanese-centric games. AC6, Katamari, Eternal Sonata, Lost Odyssey, Blue Dragon etc...
I think Japanese brand loyalty is very strong in Japan though. It is rather funny bc a lot of people blamed the original XBOX not selling well in Japan just based ...
I give you props for bringing up Toy Commander. That was truly a classic. I have it on my PC under emulation.
I am so glad to see Ikaruga being rereleased it truly is one of the best shooters ever. I would place it at number 2(with Radiant Silvergun being number 1 of course.) For anyone who has never played the original Radiant Silvergun it has been added to Mame and runs at a decent framerate. If not it is available for import on Sega Saturn.
XBOX Live real...
seems to have more RPGs on the not so distant horizon than PS3. I really have to give Microsoft credit this generation for persuing third parties so strongly. And developing these relationships.
It really is bringing a lot of great games and especially new IPs to the 360.
increasing their First party portfolio. I knew all along that Itigaki was a sole 360 supporter and that Sigma was just a crumb handed to the PS3 fanbase. I wouldn't be suprised to see DOA 5 also published by Microsoft. Tecmo has always been kind of a second party to Microsoft.
@DragunBallz.....
The last good Shinobi game was Shinobi 3 on Sega Genesis. Some other great ones were Revenge of Shinobi, and Shadowdancer. The PS2 version of Shinobi was sad.
I haven't really been visiting the last couple of days. But now there is so much great 360 news. My congrats to Microsoft for securing so many great games. NG2, AC6, Eternal Sonata, etc..plus all of the awesome old school classics going to arcade..like Ikaruga, and REZ.
It is also really smart of Microsoft to seak out the developers of great RPGs to make new titles such as Tri-Ace and Sakaguchi-San. I see more JRPGs being announced for 360 than the PS3. It is kind of sad ...
You do realize that Sigma is a XBOX1 game with new textures. The whole engine is old. I think it would be sad if the PS3 couldn't run it at 60 FPS.
And to say that Ninja Gaiden 2 is an add-on pack only makes you look ignorant. Any true fan of the series knows that Itigaki will deliver.
Ninja Gaiden is the best arcade action game ever made. Ninja Gaiden 2 will continue the trend.
that you will say that Ninja Gaiden is a dead series just bc it isn't coming to PS3. No matter what system it is on, it is still the definitive arcade hack n slash ever made. It was a classic even when it appeared on the NES. It even spawned 2 sequals on NES.
to Microsoft's and Itigaki's close relationship. I wouldn't be suprised to see DOA 5 also publishd by Microsoft. Itigaki had always stated that XBOX 360 was the sole platform he developed on.
That Sigma was just a project for Hayashi to broaden the Ninja Gaiden fan base. Now that all the PS3 fans have gotten a taste of how good the Ninja Gaiden series is. Maybe Micro is hoping fans will buy a 360 for NG2.
I had always stated that Team Ninja doesn't port games...
it makes some people feel better to press the disagree button.
that Eternal Sonata, Ace Combat 6, and Beautiful Katamari are coming to PS3...Does your same philosophy hold true when you flip flop things?? Being that is must mean that Tekken 6 and Time Crisis are coming to 360??
The only thing they can make is Dynasty Warriors.....and that game is average at best.
When it can gross as much money as a major motion picture can on it's release weekend. Gaming is becoming a bigger part of the entertainment market.
It's kind of funny to think back to the old SNES days when games consoles were viewed as toys.
this year. With the Wii at a pricepoint of $250 and the 360 starting at just $280. PS3 just can't compete with the $500 dollar price tag. And when all the 60 gigs are gone it could be $600 again.
Not to mention 360 has a far larger and more diverse games catalog. Price and games selection are very important to consumers. Wii and and the 360 will be very attractive to consumers this Holiday.
Plus the 2 consoles flagship titles are being released this year. Ha...
It is kind of shocking that supposed "exclusive" Bluray supporters do in fact release movies on HDDVD. I guess none of these contracts are set in stone.
I don't understand why any movie studio would support Bluray when upgrading DVD-9 lines will cost them over a million dollars. And the upgrade to HDDVD will only be 150,000.
It really doesn't seem like a sound business strategy.
Now there is no reason to go with Bluray. HDDVD is cheaper to produce. And will have even more space than a Bluray disk.
HDDVD also offers more interactive features with U-control. And is available in combo disks with one side HDDVD and the other side DVD-9. Which is really a great feature bc you can play all your HDDVDs on your standard DVD players. No reason to upgrade all the players in your house at once.
How does that destroy my credibility?? I don't see 360 owners constantly whining about the low scores that Blue Dragon or Two Worlds gets. Guess what?? When a 360 game sucks I will admit it. I don't place my hand over my heart and pledge allegiance to the 360. And I also don't place the blame on the reviewers. It's called reality.
What, you can't admit the truth?? That the vast majority of people who cry foul on the Reviewers are ProPS3. It is only blatantly obvious. I...
Reality check....Not everyone in the gaming industry is biased. This is just another sad attempt to justify the cr@ppy or average scores Sony's first party games get.
Blame the people who made them not the people who "express" their opinion about them. Just as any person who plays them has the right to do.
They should include a box of kleenex with every PS3 console sold. Or even better make a Pampers edition.
they just wanted to branch out and form their own studio. This kind of stuff happens all the time in the industry.
A couple more weeks and the Chief will be upon us. My fellow Halo fans it will be a day to remember.
