I think the last version of Hack I played was on an Amiga. AFAIK the PC version has always been Nethack since the late 80's.
The system is irrelevant. I'll buy whatever system that puts support behind this game.
It's EA. They've burned their bridges. Anybody who gives a dime to that company is anti gaming.
Absolutely. The best cartoon I've seen illustrating the EA effect, shows angry gamers whipping money at EA to show their displeasure. Any game with micro transactions should be ignored out of existence. What surprises me the most is the lack of class action lawsuits that EA should be drowning in by now.
Bioshock Infinite. 2yrs of waiting for an (albeit pretty) linear storybook. yay.
Why wouldn't they remove it when tons of their customers don't want it? As much as the author may like it, it doesn't change the fact that I have no use for it.
Greed my friend. I absolutely guarantee you that gameplay will become skewed in time with an annoyance factor to make all but the most hardcore of gamer, pay to play. Have you not noticed that these companies are preying on their hardcore fans with day one DLC BS that by all intentional purposes should be included in the base games, or at the very least, included as free DLC while the game is still selling full price on store shelves. If they'll nickel and dime their biggest fans, beli...
Not a choice at all. It's my game after it's purchased. If the devs need to put an option to open every vehicle/track or other gameplay shortcuts, they are perfectly able to do that. Charging anybody, anything to release gameplay elements for a top retail title is plain attempted thievery. Enjoy your diminished sales. I won't be buying.
Just so you know. The more you support this business model. The more game design is going to be skewed to annoy you into p...
Sorry, absolutely right. 2005 not 95. Great to hear it was finished!
So is this finished? I had disc 1 back in the mid 90's. If not, this article is about 7 or 8 years stale.
Check. Never buy Gran Turismo 6. Next.
Any 'game' with perishable IAP is the manufacture playing you!
Don't be a sucker, stop feeding these 'Pushers'.
Reason: Increase sales.
OMG: Go away!
If Sony gets Shenmue as an exclusive, they'll also get the majority of my game dollars. I believe in supporting companies that are actually interested in great games.
This type of digital crack should never be included on a valid gaming site. These type of dev houses rely on psychological tricks to earn/steal their money from children. There is a special place in hell for the creators of freemium games. Do a better job N4G, or you'll lose more and more of your audience.
Awesome. Another company I'll never do business with. Keep it up game industry!
If it's Shenmue, I will support Sony until they're out of the console business.
I really hope it becomes the norm in the game industry to receive all but the most extraordinary DLC for free if you purchase within the first couple of months of release. It really stinks that the people who pay the most retail cost for a game get nickel'd and dime'd for all the extras where-as the late comers often get all the bells and whistles plus a reduced price.
So 18% of people who want to see Shenmue 3 would contribute $500.00. I think thats pretty impressive!
