I never buy any game with micro transactions. I don't even support entire genres like VS fighters which have been taken over with these scams. The game industry should use DLC to improve their products and increase their marketability, not capitalize off of the fans who plunk down their hard earned money when the game is most expensive. I almost feel sorry for fanboys these days.
If you see ANY game with a micro transaction. You have encountered a publisher that isn't trying to create great games, but trying to mine your bank account. Anyone that supports these type of scams, hurts all gamers, and tells developers it's okay to concentrate on the money gathering aspect of game design.
Showing your tits for more subscribers/money is simple prostitution. Twitch should just ban cams, and that removes most of the problem. Cams are only there for narcissistic idiots who have dreams of becoming TV stars. Not to improve the game experience.
Endless. I still have monopoly and scrabble in my closet from 30 yrs ago.
Why does EA constantly try to re-invent the wheel?
Why? Because they are not true game enthusiasts. They have spent the better part of the last decade, obsessed with trying to mine peoples bank accounts. No thanks. I haven't bought a game from EA in 5 years, and I don't feel like I missed anything.
Don't come at me like a digital drug dealer. I try to do business with ethical companies.
Here is a truer statement.
Developers quest for a quick buck is killing creativity.
No sale. bye Konami
PCs will be 10 to 100x more powerful in about a year. Hard drives may be a thing of the past. You'd have to be pretty uninformed to jump on board current console technology that was outdated the day it was released. I can chill for a bit. Even if I had too much money, I wouldn't bother. All the major video game console manufactures will be hurrying out new hardware to maintain a foothold. This current gen is going to be over soon.
Is this the same legal team that sued Notch for trying to create a game called Scrolls? This is the problem with companies that grow to a size that they need a legal department. That department needs something to do to justify it's existence. Thus frivolous lawsuits.
I don't really want any games that require DRM. This leaves a grand total of 0 Xbone exclusives I'm interested in. Think I'll continue to save up for a decent PC and put linux on it. Thank you for making it easy for me MS.
that's when Microsoft discovered they spent 2 billion dollars for nobody gives a crap.
MS did the market research, and apparently people are stupid sheep.
It was an exploit, and was patched very quickly. It's amazing that N4G would propagate such shoddy journalism. Oh yeah! N4G is the site that thought Yu Suzuki showing up at E3 and tweeting pictures of forklifts meant nothing. Should be N4S. News for sheep.
New Phantasy Star game
Shenmue 1 & 2 HD package
Arcade perfect Border Break
Crazy Taxi reboot
Skies of Arcadia 2
Jet Set Radio World - Staring different world cities.
Panzer Dragoon something
It was pretty clear that after MS bought Minecraft that they were afraid to mess with their acquisition, and potentially devalue it. Problem is. One of the more attractive aspects of PC Minecraft were the constant updates and new features. By letting it stagnate over the past year, they've lost a great deal of the anticipation that was perviously associated with it.
The Shenmue fans have been asking for a kickstarter for a few years. We got what we wanted. Ignore all this BS, and support Yu Suzuki. Remember the 4 wude.
Goodbye Halo.
There were rumours when Yu Suzuki tweeted a picture of a Forklift. If you get your news from N4G you would have missed that though, as the story was declined.
The winner of this years E3?
The consumer. The way it always should have been. People need to stop being fans of huge multinational companies, unless they work for them.
Like I'm really going to get rid of my 360 and buy the Xbone hunk of junk, with it's non existent library of games. Talk to me when you have near 100% coverage and compatibility.
2+ years and nothing to play except remakes and cross platform material. What a joke.
