that the Cell processor being a pain to develop for is a surmountable problem and will soon be less of a problem and more of a benefit. The limited amount of space on a DVD is not so surmountable and can never be considered a benefit to have less space.

@Jeremy, no you just made the problem bigger because now you have to have the game engine and all base content on both disks and now the gamers have to change disks to play different content. You just made the problem 2x as b...

that you think that Gears of War doesn't use any compression at all to fit into 6GB of space?

But maybe that was your point. I just want to clarify real quick. Skeletons don't have penises. They also can't be considered naked until there's flesh on the bones. I also don't understand China's need to put flesh on a skeleton. Do they have actual skeletons in their closets that they don't want to be reminded of?

that if you have any problems with your 360 and you are outside the first year warranty and you don't want to have to pay to get it fixed then you should wrap a nice heavy towel around it to force it to get the RROD. At this point MS will gladly replace your 360 for free.

is if they added in a room that would transport you to a free mmorpg world where you take your avatar and fight monsters and do quests and such. It wouldn't have to be anything fancy. Just something to tool around with like something on the level of Maple Story but graphically better.

It's not the video games themselves that are addicting but rather people that have personalities that are prone to addictive behavior are finding that they can indulge in their obsessive/compulsive like behaviors without the attention of the general public because gaming is most often done in the privacy of your own home. There are no foreign chemicals being introduced into your system. Every chemical that your brain releases while gaming comes from your body directly. You can be addicted ...

That sounds strangely familiar. What was it about the Cell processor that made everyone think that it wasn't as good as a "true" multi-core processor? Oh yeah, that's right. It was because the Cell processor didn't have identical cores like earlier versions of Intel's processors.

I believe that this overwhelming change in support for BD doesn't physically take effect until next month.

can cause this kind of intereference. Is your PS3 within 50 feet of a microwave? Most likely it is. Bluetooth jumps around the 2.4 GHz bandwidth by design and when it encounters a section of the bandwidth that's causing problems it jumps away. The problem with microwave ovens is that their interference is so broad spectrum that it's extremely difficult to get any kind of quality signal through or around it's area of influence. The best method of correcting this interference is to shield ...

The only thing that these water simulators didn't have were air bubbles from agitating the water so vigorously.

I formally probed my wife this morning. Things turned out really well and I suspect they will for Activision also.

Yeah, I went to the dump on Monday and unloaded a few things and today I had to go and drop the kids off at the pool.

I've heard from someone that has a westinghouse hdtv that used to have the blinking issue and it seems that the blinking problem has been fixed with this update!

Because the original download for the Folding@Home software was separate from the PS3 update. All the update did was provide the icon so that you could download it in the first place. You'll probably have to delete the software and then download it again much like you do with a demo that's been updated on the PSN.

Conservatives SHOULD be saying these things. It's the Liberals, for the most part, that think that people are inherently good and that only outside influences make people into murderers. Conservatives believe in the evil of humanity itself as a basis for all their other political platforms. Conservatives should know that acts like these are a product of choices that every individual has to make every day and is not the result of misfortune. What I mean by that is if you look at a poor kid...

"Mercury is championing the use of the Sony PS3's powerful multicore processor in a variety of non-gaming markets including medical imaging, video processing, and ray tracing."

Ray tracing of all things. I thought ray tracing was supposed to be heavy on the double precision floating point operations and considering that's what the Cell processor is not optimized for I have to wonder what they're talking about.
