wasn't a standard architecture. It was extremely different from everything else. This is why everyone kept saying that developing for the PS2 was so hard. The processor for the PS2 was very foreign to PC programmers at the time. Which is why they needed to publish this kind of stuff: http://playstation2-linux.c...

The developers for the PS2 couldn't use thei...

would have to register that symbol as a trademark or a registered picture. Why on Earth would Microsoft make that symbol even more popular by registering it since it essentially is focusing on their failure to make a stable and reliable console?

Because I know that there are more than 3 titles for the PS3 that run natively in 1080P. Somewhere around 20 something titles that do it. Granted, quite a few of those are PSN titles but I think that they should still count.

Which games on the 360 run natively in 1080p?

that maybe people WERE noticing? Everywhere I've been hearing that Halo 3 isn't all that great in the graphics department and that if you want to see something truly brilliant with graphics then look no further than Gears of War. Maybe this is just proof of what people have been subjectively noticing these past couple of days.

"Our goal: to understand protein folding, misfolding, and related diseases

What is protein folding and how is folding linked to disease? Proteins are biology's workhorses -- its "nanomachines." Before proteins can carry out these important functions, they assemble themselves, or "fold." The process of protein folding, while critical and fundamental to virtually all of biology, in many ways rema...

having played Warhawk trying to use the motion controls, I can't play that way. They don't work the way that I want them to work when hovering with the Warhawk. When I'm hovering in the Warhawk I want my motion with the controller to control the actual tilt of the jet or rather the site for the guns. I don't want it to control my forward and side to side movement. Then on top of that the motion controls, once activated, also control all of the vehicles regardless of whether you want it to...

"I'v read many time from the Techies and Chip designers PS3 will get out performed in everything(graphics and Physics when devs learn to fully use the Hardware taking different road ending up ahead of what can be done on PS3). "

I'd love to read these articles that you're referring to.

run a ranked Warhawk server on one and play Warhawk on the other. Little to no lag at all and you're guaranteed to get in a ranked server everytime.

I figured out where you went wrong with the local store memory usage. You're thinking of the pipeline bandwidth between the SPU and the Local Store of the SPE. This picture might help you to understand it a bit better. http://research.scea.com/re...

Oh and also this one. http://research.scea.com/re... ...

Let me see if I can help clarify what this is talking about here.

"the PLAYSTATION®3 architecture. The 3.2 GHz Cell/B.E. contains a Power Architecture processor (the PPE) and
seven Synergistic Processing Elements (SPEs)"

So far so good. This is all pretty common knowledge for anyone that's been only keeping up with the Cell processor specs on the periphery.

"seven Synergistic Processing Elements (SPEs) each consisting o...

Did you consider that HD DVD outsells Blu-Ray in terms of players because people that have already bought a PS3 already have a player? I guess not considering your assumption.

In what way does HD DVD have more disk space?

In what way does HD DVD have better picture quality?

I'll grant you the superiority in the way of extras but that may soon be challenged once Disney has released their Java enabled movies.

The players may be cheape...

His measly little 447 is nothing to worry about. :P I have 491 total and counting. Of course this is from months and months of activity so don't be alarmed by your smaller contribution. It really is all about the group effort so if you want to join a group of folders and then you can brag about how much your entire group has folded in total. That's what it's really all about here.

that they're only selling at most 100,000 to 250,000 of any new blockbuster title and maybe a few thousand of their catalogue titles total. At an average price of $20 to $25 that only gets you about $5,000,000 to $5,125,000 per blockbuster title. Let's say they release 10 blockbuster titles in a single year then that would only make them approximately $50,000,000 and that's not including the cost it takes to make the disks and then advertise for them. So the $150,000,000 pay off for exclus...

Aren't most 360 games double layered and doesn't that mean that the 360 really only reads most of its games at 8x?
