Sony using a cell ensures that less developers will port PS3 titles to PC. All 360 titles eventually come to PC, almost no PS titles make it to PC in under 4 years.

These two companies together could save HD-DVD. Definitely, the Paramount HD-DVD exclusivity was part of this deal. This shakes up the entertainment industry. Expect CBS to start endorsing Microsoft products, not openly biased, but subtly like MSNBC.

If Bluray wins the PS3 is by far the most well thought out console of this generation. I'm not saying it has the best games, or is the best console, just that Sony really figured out the future marketplace and capitalized on it with the PS3.
