Insomniac have their own engine and dev assets. They developed it really early, and have been using and refining it since. That's how they were able to produce so many games this gen already.
Guerrilla, on the other hand, took a really long time to develop their assets, and released KZ2 very late compared to Insomniac. But now that they've got one game out the door, KZ3 will take a lot less time to make.

In that hallway you play in the demo, where it teaches you how to grab an enemy and use him as a battering ram. In the full game, I just used Hades's blades, with the R1+O attack (where it rips out souls) and just mashed that until they were all dead. I got over 1800 hits first try. I'm pretty sure I got hit a few times, too, and I screwed up a few times and grabbed enemies with O rather than R1+O a few times, but nothing stopped the combo meter from raising.
