and their game are definitely the better for it...
Oh, wait.
Greed does not make good games.
Disclaimer: this wasn't an attack on the 360. Honestly, FF games have been going downhill for a number of iterations, so it would be illogical to blame the 360 for that. Notice I said "greed doesn't make good games", not "developing for multiple platforms doesn't make good games". Many multiplats are excellent games, bu...
Wow, it's one thing to be a PS3 bashing troll, but to bash on a game just because it's PS3 exclusive is the lowest of lows. I admit, I'm not interested in this at all because GT5 is just around the corner, but I won't write it off entirely and go disrespecting the hard work devs have put into it either.
I wish them the best. If it sells well, maybe they'll develop more PSN exclusive titles, and maybe one of them will interest me.
keep an eye out for the Widowmaker out in the field. To his right, there's a Grim walking, and a second later, in a different shot, there's a Chimera concealed behind a branch. Pause it just right, and all you can see are his 4 glowing eyes. I shat a brick when I paused it there!
It's great that so many people in this thread say they love the game, but personally it's not my thing at all.
Actually, I almost didn't finish the demo. I say almost because, if it'd been one level longer, I wouldn't have played the extra level. Turned out the last level I was willing to play was actually the last level of the demo.
I found it repetitive, and didn't find the gameplay fun at all. But hey, like I said, that's me and...
apparently Castlevania SotN was heavily influenced by them. I guess so I guess I owe the series a debt because I love the hell out of SotN!
But those are the 2D series we're talking about. Can't say that I know of any shooters that were inspired by Metroid.
that the "experiment" was flawed from the start. If publishers don't even give us the option to buy their games in digital format, HOW are you supposed to compare attach rates?
Think before you argue.
If RRoD didn't devastate 360 sales, a little PS3 footage in a 360 game commercial certainly wouldn't.
What I think: this gives them extra publicity. People who might have thought Final Fantasy was still PlayStation exclusive will now be told otherwise by this "scandal". Outcome: 360 doesn't love, if anything it wins from this "bad publicity".
I definitely loved both, but I preferred the first.
What I preferred in R1 was the level of grit. It was darker than the second, and some parts were definitely intended to ease the game into the horror FPS genre. I think they need to sidle back toward horror a bit--not overly, not all the way to Dead Space, but away from Halo R2.
And definitely bring back the weapons wheel!
when their protocol was flawed from the start?
If they wanted to test the attach rate of UMD-capable vs Digital-only, selling the latter at a much higher price point (250$ vs 200$ not much? That's 25%, it's huge) AND with a gimped library (a lot of big-name titles still aren't available digitally), then their experiment was seriously biased.
Under these parameters, hell, anything can be considered a success for the Go.
I would pre...
Who still carries around their CD player and a pouch of CDs? NO ONE. Why should gamers carry their console and a pouch of discs? It's retarded.
The only thing holding back the PSP Go, and the future of PSP going digital-only, is their poor distribution platform. The PSN Store is a good start, but it could use improving, and the ENTIRE library of PSP games needs to be on there.
If they can guarantee all PSP2 games will be available in digital download form...
who's gonna work on giving us cross-game chat?
Yeah.
you just HAD to hack it. Now we'll have to suffer through probably more than one firmware update while Sony tries to fix the issue, risk bricking some innocent consoles, and not get new features because Sony had to spend their time trying to fix this exploit rather than add new features in their firmware updates.
THANKS A LOT. All because you wanted to pirate games. Scum.
Who gives a shit about the graphics when the gameplay is so good?
Seriously, the graphics aren't bad to begin with, they're just less good than other shooters out there. It's actually a good looking game by itself. And the gameplay more than makes up for the graphics.
(Seriously, 256 players in one game, and GIGANTIC maps, what kind of graphics do you expect??)
Get used to it, because *most* shooters on PS3 use R1 as default button, and don't allow you to change it. In fact, contrary to you, I hate games that use R2 to shoot.
And I love the gamersyde website. It's easy to download their videos straight to the PS3. Some trailer you like isn't on the Store yet? Go to gamersyde and download it direct to your HDD! The PS3 browser can even do it in background download. I got the Resistance live action teaser that way yesterday, I was psyched!
(Extra bonus: the video technically isn't copyrighted, so you can edit it in the PS3's video editing tool. It's not the best tool, but I used ...
I LIKED NEW COLE. Fuck you whiners.
Yes, I meant the console version, since I was comparing it with MAG.
I hate how devs think that, because it's on consoles, it needs aim-assist. Just balance the guns properly and it won't need aim-assist. But then it would alienate most of the audience who doesn't want to develop skills but would instead rather rely on the aim-assist crutch to think they're good.
Think about this: aim-assist, combined with random bullet spread--what do you hav...
I agree with you: I liked new Cole better than old Cole. Don't know about new-new Cole yet because they didn't really show him--I thought they'd reveal his face and look properly at the end of the trailer, but they didn't...
I liked new Cole because he was more lovable. Old Cole looked like a grumpy douche, he was ugly as sin, and he ran funny. Not to mention he didn't fit the character at all: looked too old for his age, too serious for a bike messenger, ...
I'm not really interested in the PSP because of its form factor, but its game library is stellar. I am considering picking up a Go, though, because of how small it is.
@Eddy Raja
Lack of UMD is what interests me in the Go in the first place, and for the reason you mentioned: you don't have to carry all those UMDs with you. Want to switch games? Just go to the XMB and pick another one, don't have to swap discs.
@Mr Bun
"martydom, sonic boom, pwn. you soon really get good at finding a 'cluster' and running right into it lol"
Wow, you're so skilled... And people wonder why I say MW is for noobs...
