Want to change things up? Make a new IP.
Want to make a new numbered iteration of an established franchise? Stick to the formula.
They changed RE and FF too much, and are surprised people are pissed? When people buy these games, they expect a certain experience. If they get something entirely different, how can anyone be surprised when they aren't pleased?

But the amount of artic... opinion pieces on this subject is really annoying me. Mostly because I liked the new direction SP was taking with Cole. But due to the amount of bitching, they did a 180, and now people are just changing their minds?
"Whoops, my bad SP, I guess your redesign was actually OK..." Makes me angry because people need to STFU and let the company do its thing, and SP needs to have the balls to do what it wants.
So if I understood the shadow of anything in this post, then... This means easy fix for Sony?

It doesn't penalize players, it just stops rewarding them. HUGE difference.
As for this explanation: "No one could train ad nauseam in the real world with no ill effects" it's quite a stretch. I used to be a competitive swimmer, and we'd train over 24 hours a week. A game, where real world rules don't apply, would limit you to 8 to make it more realistic? Right...
I platted the first InFamous, so needless to say I played it a lot. I didn't really think there was anything wrong with Cole, but then I didn't consider the possibility that SP might change him.
Once I saw new Cole, old Cole just looked TOTALLY wrong for the part. He looks old and grumpy, when he's supposed to be a young bike messenger. Sure, all game heroes don't need to be handsome, but old Cole just didn't fit the role. Now new old Cole is even worse. H...

It is 2gbs, and it is pretty fast. People need to stop bitching about Sony, and blame the real culprits: KLEI and/or EA. 2gigs is NOT COOL. Release a DEMO, not a locked full game.
patches and updates are VERY slow. But the PSN itself is pretty damn fast. I don't know why updates are so much slower sometimes.
It's definitely as fast, or faster, as downloading torrents on my PC. As far as I'm concerned, I think that's pretty damn fast for a FREE service.

My guess is buying the game only unlocks the rest of the 1990 megs we didn't get to play, but I wasn't going to pay for that. Next time, KLEI or EA, whichever is responsible, RELEASE A DEMO, not a locked-down full game. Downloading 2 gigs isn't fun.
