depending on good weapons and rings. your success in PvE depends 99% on you and 1% on rings and weapons. demon's souls is not WOW, there is no ultra weapon/spells/armor, there is just you and your mistakes.
rings and weapons only have value in PvP, but even there only if you know how to use them.
i seriously think game is way too easy. i'd love if NG++ would scale harder more than 8%. after NG+, there simply is no more challenge, unless you start play...

i left game after 1&1/2 year of constant playing more or less pissed off because of chat and voice. you couldn't disable chat window so it was constantly popping up covering 1/3 of the screen. voice (chat too) on the other hand had to be turned off per each person and since people were constantly coming and leaving you couldn...
but when they changed settings for release, game simply didn't feel right. mgo is still by miles best shooter on ps3 while best online definitely has demon's souls.
tried it few days ago and it went from worse to catastrophic. total lagfest on matchmaking, server succeeded to collect people from all over the world in one game. game is completely unbalanced as it mostly happen you shoot complete mag from ak into someone running to you, but still getting killed by shot...
