I'm still waiting on sequel. The last thing that was said about originally planned trilogy was that small team is constantly working on ME2
he screwed LOTR trilogy, isn't that enough? I needed to read book again just to see why i liked it in the first place after his movies.
9 hours of extreme closeups was THE most boring directing ever (whenever someone starts speaking, here comes extreme closeup like they'd want to avoid costs for the scene)
medival means Europe? (i'm from there and i strongly disagree) if that would be historical movie or documentary i'd agree, you just forget that...
SOTC is a freaking fantasy plot not actual representation. it could also play out on Venus for what i care (maybe you understood language in SOTC, i didn't, it wasn't any European language that i'm sure).
and speaking badly about Japanese actors while praising Hollywood? my god, do you know that...
SOTC was one really big gaming experience where story was left to your imagination. even Team ICO and Ueda always speak this fact. there is no defacto plot, plot is what you made out of experience
if they add understandable narrative (remember, only words you can actually understand are hints about colossi) the imagination is broken. i'd hate masterpiece as SOTC to suffer downfall based on some fans mind. wouldn't even try to watch it. million stories would simply bec...
most people i know (me included) buy consoles (any game console, not just ps) not for gaming experience or price, but to have dedicated game machine that doesn't need constant hardware updates and has the least problems for most fun.
i just want to plug console to tv, put disc inside and play.
unless sony starts charging for online play, i'll stick with it. and it doesn't even matter how good that service would be. i had my share of gaming problem...
they won't explode from firmware update. they'll stop working from firmware update to prevent exploding.
just search more common occasion "exploding notebook" and you'll get it. battery is usually the main culprit. and just as notebooks have batteries, so do dualshocks. and not only pirated stuff is prone to exploding. Dell for example has had quite a few cases.
to learn how to fly you only need to learn how to miss the ground after jumping off a cliff;)
online is fun as it doesn't suffer from bad AI like most games (although some players really amaze me how stupid can they be)
wifes ring won't turn red
would go to PC. i can respect PSN+ being subscription based... online gaming... not so much.
same as i kinda expect i'll see trough my new cars windshield without needing to pay extra. i pay internet to my provider, bought console and games from sony. i did my part. as soon as sony would try to charge internet access for games (mp wise), i'd only buy single player games and play online on PC. if sony thinks 100 games on 3xps3 is not enough tax being payed from me, the...
which i'm really grateful for. if those few that have them would stop using them my online experience would go way up.
i can chat with people in my real life, i play games for fun not to listen some child being insulting just because i killed him, nor do i consider muting chore as fun. i'd be enormously happy if PS firmware update would allow me to hide my presence from "Players met". I stopped playing all games using mics (was playing MGO and UC2 beta, then...
i doubt motion could work well. in ds you lose if you aren't agile with flexible gameplay. there are also just too many generic things about weapons (example, one using rapier must pierce not cut while claymore is almost useless on stabing). dualhanding is another example. dualhanding pattern is completely different than sigle handed. all you would get is people flailing non-sense moves like ping pong on Wii.
sc swordfight works awesome, but to some degree it also has com...
posting best 5 Move games not even a week after Move was released? and using 4 games that won't exist in this year?
i wish fanboys wouldn't post stupid articles. there are only few games out now, which is way more than enough considering Move is still not even 1 week old. posting glory about these games is just the same as people who were proclaiming Haze as Halo killer even when no gameplay was released. wait and see, Move is good enough to stand on its own without s...
"but as for what Sony has brought to the table I would say very little as it's already in millions of peoples homes and is called the Wii"
i only know 2 people with Wii and a lot of people with ps3. Wii is really not popular here. and just why would I care about what Wii brought to the table if i don't have one? not being HD was a no-go situation for me and more important than any motion controls
"Just thought the release games I've...
most Move games depend on free flow based on few predefined motions and their limitations. which is not hard to code.
(speaking as 1 who writes code for living) i only played Heavy Rain demo and there was 20x more scripted (different) moves than any games full content. if they wanted to do those with quality motion that translates into real world i can only say kudos to coders if they had 25% success rate doing that. but all the reviews i read go well beyond that 25%. and i c...
newer and better version, isn't that enough? you probably think that i (for example) should go and buy wii. it has no HD, no Move accuracy, but... hey wii was first with motion and so whole world has to ignore what Move brought to the table and respect original.
just remember one thing, even original no matter how good it was can be improved and thus deserve to be bought. why do you think so many people are excited about ICO/SOTC collection (me included)? i own both games...
if anything, it looks grainy (graphics wise, it is a shameful downgrade from heavenly sword) with badly done animation, really awful platforming (it is like platforming on the rails, ffs) and mediocre fight. not to mention semi crap camera.
maybe game gets better after demo, but i'm not buying it until i find used and really cheap copy. this demo was my biggest disappointment.
UC1 was more than amazing.
UC2 had awesome graphics and a lot of gaming flaws. for me it felt like bad copy of UC1 where everything had to be "more and bigger"
just for the record (before i start getting disagrees), UC1 is probably sharing 3rd place in all time favorite games with MGS3 (MGS4 following behind) behind Demon's souls and Mirrors edge. i have 2 platinums for UC1 (on 2 ps3s), while UC2 i only got to around 35-40% on one
flaws ...
they reworked memory handling in gold edition. but as someone who lives from writing software in his real life i really doubt that. even if they really did reworked everything about memory, they could still issue patch. memory handling almost always resides in fairly small portion of execution code. and taking conspiracy theory further, they probably just want to resell same game to same people again. this trend is kinda getting really lame, games sold partial when they came out and full afte...
kinda like rectangle inside of rectangle. as soon as you cross boundaries with pointer your guy starts turning and the more you get to extreme side the faster it turns.
i might be even wrong on this one as i plan on picking up MAG now that it has move support
but, am i the only one that thinks this review sounded more like "not XBox/Gears" than "this" game review? not that i care about bad score, wouldn't buy it anyway even if it had 10s all over the place.
Lot of games, mostly Tenchu: Fatal Shadows and Primal (both games I loved and adored every moment with them) were reviewed badly by referencing "not like X" and "bad camera/bland fighting". where especially criticized tenchu had perfe...
