It's not cheaper in the UK. I paid £49.99 for the game on Steam and it is the same price on the Epic store but I don't get cloud saves and the rest of steams features.
Steam arguably offers more than these other services as well, providing community hubs, technical and game discussion forums, cloud save space per game, user reviews (although publishers may not want this) and free updates.
Yup, I bought it on PC and persuaded a friend to try it out and we both love this game now. I was never really as into racers as he was but Dirt 3 and this game both managed to hook me somehow, there is just so much to do.
Robots were awful, I stopped playing when it got to that bit. They are just not as fun to shoot as the locust. I had the same problem with the later halo games, the covenant and flood are just more fun, robots are boring.
I'm on 2 GTX 980s although SLI scaling as of late has been pretty bad these last few years.
I'm probably going to wait until the RTX 2100 series and hopefully the price will be reasonable then, my cards will be 5 - 6 years old and so paying a bit more wont feel too awful.
This card actually draws 37% more power than the RTX 2070, even with the die shrink. So it actually means more heat.
There is nothing great about this GPU and if you go on any of the PC hardware sub-reddits including r/AMD you will see that most PC gamers don't want it. If they drop 6 - 8GB of the super expensive memory and maintain 2080 performance at a price point that isn't the same as the 2080 then it would be exciting.
Currently you have the option to pay $699 for a card (295W) that has 2080 (215W) performance with a much higher power draw (nearly 40% more, increasing noise a...
They are both $699 MSRP
This AMD card is just as expensive...
I doubt we will see everything on my list but I would like to see:
- Backwards Compatibility
- Cross Play (Global, Invite Only and Off options)
- Digital refunds like Steam.
- Options so that we can pick performance over graphics or better yet just target 60fps in most games.
- Free online
- Quiet fans (if it means the console has to be bigger then I'd rather that than hear so much noise)
- Easily removable HDDs and ...
I don't understand the port begging argument when it comes to third party games. Sure, constantly asking for something like Uncharted, Halo or Mario bros to come to another platform is silly as it will never happen but showing your interest for a third party game that hasn't been released on your platform seems like it could only increase the chance of it coming to that platform.
Gamers want games, big surprise. I personally own all of the consoles and so this is no...
University fees in the UK are some of the highest in Europe, not as bad as it is in the US though. On the other hand we do have a large number of the top 10 universities in Europe. 7 out of the top 10 are from the UK https://www.timeshighereduc...
I realise this is just a shit post like pretty much anything related to PC Master race but I do love the wealth of peripherals and control options on the PC. I just use whatever is most comfortable for the game I am playing, be it a controller, joystick and throttle or mouse and keyboard.
I find it irritating that the DS4 and Xbox controllers can play nicely together on my PC but if I want to play Smash with my friends I can't just reuse those controllers I have to go ...
Well with the latest nvidia drivers and tomorrows patch the 2080 Ti can do ultra @1440p / 60fps and they have improved quality as well as performance. They say more performance updates are coming, sounds like they just wanted to have something with the release but the implementation was quite rushed and / or it's a new tech and the team are getting used to it.

I find it crazy how we have switched so quickly from "realtime ray tracing is impossible" to "well it can't do 4K". Give it some time, nobody expected we would be where we are at with it today in the first place.
The irony of this is that ray tracing is the most revolutionary change we have had in a while. I'm guessing you mean you want the same rasterization stuff but just faster or do you not think that ray tracing will be the future of realtime rendering?
That;s a pretty short review but I agree.
Or just live in Europe and have consumer protection rights.
I hope that they both get rid of online fees with next gen and instead just charge for these game rental services like PS Plus, gold and gamepass. Paying to play online in general sucks.
It's only good for US Gamers as of only right now. Would you also support the next big game only being available at a single retail store and do you think that store would have any incentive to lower the price of the game if they are the only one selling it.
I think publishers just want to see Nintendo like game prices on PC, we have too many sales for their liking.
